This place has always been awesome! This is a restaurant that is located right next to the airport and is a place where pilots and passengers can hang out while they wait for their plane to take off. You can actually here codes being called out from the tower while you eat your food! The food is delicious and the service is great. I have never been disappointed while eating here.
The place may look like nothing from the outside, we had our doubts too, but once we walked in, we were greeted by super friendly staff and locals, it made us immediately fall in love. It's a great place to view the Rims and watch planes take off and land. We had the burger and the BLT, and I will say I will go back and have it again. We bought a whole pie because it was just too delicious to not too. Oh, and if you get the waiter Dave/ David, then you're lucky because he was so friendly and knowledgeable of the area.
This quaint restaurant does not disappoint. The food was good, the pie was better and the service was awesome. We drove an hour and a half to get here. I’d do it again! Definitely stop by Kid-friendliness: The staff was so nice and there were plenty of high chairs and booster seats
Flew into the Payson Airport and had to make sure to stop at Crosswinds! This restaurant never disappoints. As others have mentioned, they are well known for their pies. Pictured in my review is the Fiesta Omelette, which tasted great! Highly recommend everyone visits Crosswinds.
Stopped here while passing through, cuz we saw that most reviews were positive. And boy-oh-boy, were they right. My hubby got a chicken fried steak, he said it was in the top 3 he's ever had. I had the Spanish omelet and it was filled to the max. I love omelets and most I get are too much egg amd not enough filling. Not a problem here. The hashbrowns and home fries were both done to our level of crispy. We bought an Orchard Pie for family we visited later in the day. That was was amazing good. The pie was spendy, but for special occasions it's perfect.
What an unexpected surprise we found in Crosswinds. The food was great, but Karen was an excellent server. She is so genuinely sweet, in today's age where there is so much indifference, Karen greeted every single customer with genuine warmth and friendliness. Thank you, Karen. I had to ask her name because she was so sweet and kind.
Great breakfast, good portions at a fair price also fun watching the planes land and take off. I almost finished breakfast before the photo.Food: 5/5
I read all the reviews before we went. It's legit! Food was amazing. I ordered my eggs over medium, nobody ever cooks them perfectly. They did here. The chicken fried steak is top 3 ever . The service was as good as the food. Don't miss this place.
What's not to like about this place? Everything is from scratch! Go on Fridays for the all you can eat fish. You will not be disappointed. The pies are homemade and outstanding! Grab an Orchard Pie to go. Love this gem Parking: We flew in. Plenty of airplane parking! The ground staff is also very accommodating!
