Absolutely love this gym. It has exactly what I've been looking for. I have to drive roughly 25 minutes to work out but it is so worth it! They have a sauna in each change room, hydro massage beds, all the free weights, machines or classes you could ever want! Staff are all WONDERFUL. Owner is so nice. Very clean and organized. Can't say enough!!!

If your considering this gym don't bother. I joined them quite a few years ago. Then me and my family moved away from stratford, and I no longer needed a membership. So I canceled my membership. Unfortunately I didn't notice but they kept taking money from my account for 1 year after I canceled. As soon as I noticed this I called them furious about it. And they claim I didn't cancel. So I went back in to the gym and canceled AGAIN for a second time. To which they also said I have to pay a additional 3 months after canceling. Even after taking my money for 1 year and refusing to refund me. After the 3 months they still kept taking money. So just to end this I had to cancel my bank account and I switched to another bank anyways that had more of what I was looking for anyways. Now a year or two later I get an email saying they are taking me to collections. Absolutely ridiculous that even after signing 2 cancelation forms they think they can continue taking money. So after all this I called the gym yesterday, talked to a guy about it and he told me he would have his manager call me before noon the next day. Well it's 7:30pm the next day and no phone call. Worst experience ever. And will be making damn sure everyone in the area knows about this.
I have been going to this gym for a year now. Good equipments but the weekend staff is never at reception. We understand they have cleaning to do but have to be present at reception as well because i had to wait for 5mins and getting late for my job. When i was leaving ,the staff were making faces and pointing at me because i was putting on my shoes where she just mopped. What was i suppose to do?? Take my shoes and went outside in snow to put them on? They are doing their jobs but forgetting that their most important job is towards their customers. Rude and disrespectful staff
Horrible customer service all around, many issues reoccurred regarding my payment, and so many hidden “fees” and “fines” that aren’t disclosed to clients before signing up. I thought I was signing up for a $11.99 a month subscription, but ended up paying upwards of 200$ out of pocket during the three months I attended this gym. I attempted to close my account last month, but I’ve continuously been called and spammed about updating my payment info. I called AGAIN today attempting to close my account, and now I’m being forced to pay 35$ to close an account at a gym I haven’t been to in months. Loved the equipment and environment within the establishment, but the staff, customer service, and all around Buisness model is very corrupt and does not benefit the consumer at all. I would highly recommend finding another gym preferably one that’s CANADIAN owned or even buying your own equipment, I could have done so with all the time and money this company has stolen from me.
I have been to 3 other gyms before this is the Best place to work out. All staff is very nice. Lots of equipment to use and lots of events and extra things to do. Prices are really good too
I've been a Crunch member for 12 years. I'm newish to the Stratford location and I like it! I am wondering though why the mens change room was shut down during peak gym hours 5 o'clock for a ridiculously long time! Did someone have explosive diarrhea in there or vomit? Then I would understand why there was a line up of men waiting outside the change rooms at peak gym hours waiting and waiting. My husband had taken his pre-workout and was starting to feel nauseous from the just sitting as it coursed through his system. Men were all standing around asking each other why it was happening during PEAK GYM HOURS! I was thinking "I still have to go home and make dinner and get ready for tomorrow...I've been up since 5am and this is really putting a damper on my plans for the night. I'm sure that the wife of the other man waiting was thinking something similar. It really ruined our entire night as we didn't get home until after 7 PM because of it and we work at 6am the next day but have fitness goals. Maybe for the future let the staff know that disinfecting the bathroom is necessary but should be done with a little more urgency if doing it during peak gym hours. I would have emailed but there is no option on the website.
Great gym, super friendly staff and awesome members. Due to the affordable price point, the gym is often busy but the members are extremely friendly, allowing you to work in or even giving up their machines for you if the one you need is taken. The staff are super helpful and always look after everyone, many of them even go out of their way to memorize your name and check in on how you’re doing. Owner is very kind and can be often seen greeting members throughout the gym. Would highly recommend!
Lost my credit card and needed to update. Instead of doing the normal thing they and just letting me update it they tack on a $25 fee for nothing and then when I complain the owner treats me like a child. No loyalty at all for a member thats been there for over a year. Would rate a 0 if it was possible. In response to owner a couple of things that did not happen First I was sent no text messages. Second I Am still here because you made me pay another month to get out of my contract. Also I was not given the option of not paying the $25 or I wouldn’t have been upset. The weeks you said I had was literally 2 days. As I come to the gym 4 times a week and I had just gotten my new card. Also the staff wasn’t rude, I never said they were. The owner, however, was very rude. The fact you basically have to make things up is sad and really shows you need to change some policies. I stand by my review.
The monthly membership fee is a really great value. I unfortunately had my visa stolen in December, but due to the holidays and postal service issues, didn't get a replacement until mid-January. ABC Financial called me multiple times, but unfortunately it was all automated, and only gave me the option to update payment, which I couldn't do because I had not received my replacement card. When I did receive my card, I went into the gym to update my payment info in person. To my surprise I now owe about $100 total in fees. I asked for a manager to call me back, so I could explain the situation and clear up why I have two late charges for only one month of missed payment. Marissa had called me but did not take the time to listen to the situation, and kept talking over me telling me to "stop and listen, okay?". She told me that I should have came into the gym to let them know, but I don't know why I would have to waste my time doing so when I was expecting a replacement card at any time? Not that I expect an overly professional experience from a gym, but that was an odd phone call. I am cancelling my membership because visas can get lost / stolen and this has been a headache to deal with, I had at least 10 companies taking auto payments off my card during this time, and Crunch Stratford was the only one that has caused issues. I am disappointed in the lack of professionalism and lack in common sense of Marissa telling me to pay the overcharges in full, and then call visa to dispute the charges.
