We've brought the dance party to Winston Salem.
Dance Trance (DT) is a fitness class that incorporates funk, Latin, jazz, hip hop and other types of rhythm movement. It is not a dance class, but a fitness class that uses dance to get the most out of a workout. Dance experience not necessary.
Repetition is the key to Dance Trance, lots of classes available each week! We're a close-knit community and we love welcoming new faces to the dance floor. Regardless of your dance experience, you are welcome to join the party!
Dance Trance is designed to challenge you physically and mentally with upbeat cardio dance moves and new choreography. We want to motivate you to never miss a class and commit to your workout! New choreography keeps everyone in the class mentally challenged and the only way to learn is to keep coming to class!
Every Tuesday at 6:35 pm we will learn and review the newest routine for 2 weeks. Learning the moves will help you execute the dance stronger and with confidence = more calories burned!
So what about the other 200+ DT songs? When do I have a chance to see those broken down? DT Prep is held on the third Saturday of the month in the yoga studio. This class reviews 3-4 songs step-by-step - perfect for the beginner or veteran DTer!
Can I drop in as a guest?
The YMCA allows new guests with no membership to visit (allow extra time before class to fill out paperwork). The daily guest pass $10 per visit unless you come with a member which is first one free and then $5 per visit. The YMCA doesn't have any contracts with their membership and a 30 day satisfaction guarantee so you have nothing to lose if you sign up.
