The staff was amazing. The lodge is a bit confusing at first but there were plenty of workers to help guide you where to go. The ski school was probably the best I've experienced so far I haven't experienced many to be fair. The runs were fun. I will say there is probably more for more experienced riders. It's also reasonably priced! And free parking too with a shuttle that brings you to the lodge. One downfall is no snowboarding.
We have been visiting Deer Valley to ski annually for about twenty years now and love it every time. The snow is always well groomed and the resort is meticulously maintained. Deer Valley Chili is one of my all time favorite meals to eat for lunch. My kids ski more than I do these days, but I am perfectly happy working and hanging out in the lodge. Looking forward to our next trip already!
My friends and I had the worst time at another resort Park City Mountain. Kind of glad because we would never have gone to Deer Valley otherwise. For a first time ever in life skier, it was a fantastic experience. Smooth process checking in. We got ski lessons. Instructor Todd was the best!!!! All staff were kind and patient with us newbies. Thanks so much! See you soon!
Big resort, really nice upper class feel to it if you like that. Really fun to ski through the condos and hotels. Not my favorite ski resort in Utah but it is a fun one and I'll come back again. If you're old or rich this place will be great for you.
This is by far the most friendly resort I’ve ever been to. All of its staffers are so nice. They smile and greet you and they help loading/unloading your skis if you take the gondola. Also, the free ski storage is awesome, you can just check in your skis there and not worry about them when you come again next day.
Deer Valley has good terrain that is very well-groomed, making it accessible to every level of skier. Staff is plentiful, friendly, and helpful. Tickets are too expensive for the experience. Additionally, the resort is crowded. The lift lines can be a 5 to 10 minute wait.
Great, long runs. A very posh crowd. Probably one of their busiest days yet. The lodge was toasty with fireplaces on both floors. Hot cocoa was delicious. Excited to try more slopes when they aren’t so busy.
Traffic was bad getting up there from I-80 on a Saturday, and parking was pretty far. The shuttle ran frequently, every 5 minutes or so. The skiing was great! Started on the bunny hill for a few runs, then moved up the mountain. Ski lift lines were long at the bunny hill, but really quick every where else. Priority is given to ski school classes at the lifts
Just skied one day at Deer Valley while in Park City, mainly because I have heard for decades how great it is and it did not disappoint in the slightest It is a little spendy, but all three in my party felt it was worth the expense and that it was an incredible experience. The runs were great, the food was spectacular for lunch, the service was too notch, and the views everywhere you looked were amazing. If/when I come back to the area, I will always set aside a day for skiing at Deer Valley.
Definitely the most luxurious skiing experience in the state. Wonderful facilities. If you enjoy a challenge though there are better mountains. Great for first time skiers to intermediate.
