Delta is mostly good. I sometimes have a legally checked firearm in my bag. Some of their policies on firearms are ridiculous. Like zip ties on the bag at arrival. Having to pick your bag up at the luggage office rather than retrieve if at the baggage carousel. Delta is the ONLY airline that does this. Additionally, some of their employees blatantly lie about what needs to be done. That is completely unacceptable.
My flight experience was great!! The snacks that were offered included chips, almonds and cookies. And then after the initial beverage offer, the attendants came back again 2 more times offering water and coffee/tea. My check-in experience was not so great...not sure what the problem was but the line was super long just to drop off bags and when my bag tag did not print, I was directed to get into the service line. When I arrived to the agent, I was told quite rudely that I wasn't supposed to be in that line, and then when the agent asks for my bag, wants to know why I don't have a tag. I'm like.... that's why I'm here the machine didn't generate one .... Anyway, the agent finally printed my tag and took my bag.
Ticketing representatives are good. Gate representatives are not. Representatives said they would hold a flight on short transfer but they don't even forward the request to your next gate. Poor customer service. At least their re booking representatives are proficient at their jobs, considering they are used a lot.
It was alright. Delayed going from Norfolk to JFK. Fully booked going back LV to Det that they called us to see if we'd volunteer to take an earlier flight.... Red eye with kids. No thanks. Otherwise service was good.
Both coming and going, the ticket counters were a problem. We showed up 90 minutes early but were late by the time we got to the front of the line in Spokane. Our rescheduled flight was delayed in perfect weather and we missed our connection and subsequently our rental car reservation. In Las Vegas for the return trip, all ticket counters were open at 3am except for Delta's having learned our lesson the first time. My best advice is to try to check in a day early if you insist on flying with Delta. We won't be.
Our flight was delayed both coming to Vegas and now going home to Detroit. I waited over 20 mins for wheelchair assistance, and in addition to that, our gate has been changed 4x's. I'm truly frustrated with Delta this week. Ordinarily I don't have problems with Delta Airlines. I hope that things go back to normal.
Great choice came home Wednesday. Other airline changed my flight from Wednesday till Thursday. My Thursday flight was cancelled. I would of been stranded in las vegas. Loved delta I was in first class definitely first class from now on.
Great flights. Reasonable flights. Free wifi for frequent flyers and a movie too. On my return flight they were extremely helpful and helping me tag my bags.
I love flying Delta, they've never let me down. Our flight attendant, on the way home today Minneapolis, Mn, Kyle was really awesome! Enjoy your time off!
I have always used Delta when I fly. The past few times have been train wreck. Last summer fly for work got stuck in Salt Lake since the canceled my conecting flight for 9 hours. Never offered anything for the inconvenience. Lost an entire day of work which threw me way behind. This past weekend flew with them again. Got at text at 1:30am they canceled my flight at 5:30am. No offer to help me get to the trade show I had scheduled meetings. I had to call Delta to get them to get me on another airline. Missed 4 appointments and lost most of Saturday's meetings. I had myself and employee which made the rest of trip very rushed. Again never offered to try to make it right for the inconvenience. I hate to say because Delta for the past 10 years has been my primary airline for work. I am not sure I will book my business travel next month with Delta.
