TERRIBLE!!! I DON'T RECALL MOVING NEXT TO AN ER! WELL, I DIDN'T YET THIS AMBULANCE PARKS A BLOCK AWAY FROM MY HOUSE AND BLASTS ITS SIREN ALL DAY EVERYDAY in and out, in and out, in and out...Day in, day out. Apparently a loud siren blasting into people's houses all day and evening is perfectly acceptable. I'm sure they live nowhere near this location or they would probably care. Forget homeowners trying to enjoy a day outside, people who are just living their lives. I've asked them to stop and they don't care. How can people be so horrible? Park at DENVER HEALTH!!!!! I've been dealing with this for years. I've had it. What is my recourse?! The photos show them turning WEST into the villa park neighborhood opposite direction from the hospital on 8th ave from Federal driving to the park. No reason but to park there and blaze their siren when they have a billion emergencies throughout the day.
Who knew I could have such a great experience getting my covid booster. Whoever it was that injected me with a needle actually brightened my day. She was very caring, knowledgeable about gender identity and reminded me to drink lots of fluid the rest of the day!
Denver Health has great doctors and nurses who care about their patients. I received my COVID Vaccine and it was just like any other shot I’ve ever had. They’re experienced and efficient, what more could you want?
Great friendly customer service, no wait. Best Medical Assistant who clearly was experienced with giving shots/ didn’t even feel them and I got 3. In and out, best clinic experience!
I have an ER visit on my account that they refuse to take off that they are charging me for. I NEVER WENT TO THE ER!!! I got a call from a patient representative today, 9/29 at 8:54. It made me hold and wait for the next rep even though they are the ones that called me. I spoke to Miguel and when I explained my situation he went SILENT, then he put me on hold for over 10 min and then HUNG UP. I called back and had to HOLD AGAIN for a different rep. I spoke to Stacy and she refused to listen or help me. I have coworkers that use Denver Health and have the same issue. They either get double charged or charged for visits that don’t exist. I have confirmed with my insurance that I am incorrectly being charged and they are also trying to fix this issue. This issue has been going on since June, so I have no other choice but to report this hospital for fraud. Denver Health is well aware there is an issue with billing because one of the billing reps admitted it to me on a call in the past, but they aren’t doing anything about it.
I am a patient here and was able to make a same day walk in appointment for a COVID vaccine. As always, the front staff are friendly & efficient, as are the caregivers.
I was unnecessarily placed in emergency psychiatric hold. I asked your EMS who took me in to see the M1 hold paperwork that was filled out without my knowledge, and they refused repeatedly. They also insisted that I couldn’t leave on my own. They forced me down and strapped me into their stretcher, took me to their van, and injected me with sedatives as they transported me to your hospital. I found out later, after I woke up and demanded for to see it for 15-20 minutes, that the M1 hold form had inaccurate information on it. I never should’ve been taken in, as I kept telling EMS. I was released in the middle of the night by psych hold with no way to go home. Psych hold refused to help me because “I shouldn’t have snatched paperwork and cussed.”
Since Denver Health threw a fit about me posting about them when not actually at work. So, I'll water it down for them; their feelings don't get hurt too bad. For their information, a lot of employees review their jobs and those around them, there's plenty of the proof on indeed and yelp. Maybe instead of crying about what's said about you and some of your employees, perhaps put a stop to their behaviors that are causing some of us to feel the need to call them out in public.‍ Let me explain something, every job has drama but there are times that have too much of it. You can be retaliated against without even knowing it because it falls under the work guidelines and appears like it's not retaliation. People will like you one minute and hate you the next; for even the unfair reasons. There is too much gossip here, lies spread like wild fire. A lot of patients get treated like garbage but then some nurses and techs get treated poorly by patients. Invasion of privacy is very common among staff, nothing gets done about it no matter how much you complain. I can attest to this personally. If you're not high up in the food chain, you get overlooked and disregarded. There are some people here that should not be working in this environment because they not only have unwelcoming attitudes towards others, they discriminate anyone they deem lower than them and they think they're untouchable because of their rank. I hate this company for the simple fact, if you work in a non-medical field, you are nothing but trash to be thrown out at any given time despite the fact that you are one of the most valuable people in this industry. Without people who work in environmental services, food services, central supply, registration, and, or maintenance; you wouldn't have a building to work in; to be high n mighty in. Also, it's very hard to grow here despite all these so called opportunities they entice you with. You can try to apply anywhere in in the hospital or try to get an education of some sort so you can be qualified for the job you want but you're not guaranteed to get the job or be approved for educational help. Personally, I believe you have to look, speak and act a certain way to get anywhere, like Denver Health discriminates a lot based on that. Not only are these the reasons I'm not fond of the company but these higher up medical staff believe they're untouchable especially one in particular an ED charge nurse who works overnights. Be careful around her if you work in ED, she will turn on you like a Cobra. It doesn't matter what these 'higher ranked or favorited' people do to you, you won't be protected like they are. You do one wrong thing to them or around them; your days are numbered. So be extra careful of what you do. I'm just not afraid of them and I know I got them where it hurts, they invaded privacy, broke HIPPA. I'll gladly bring up that nothing was done if they come after me again. So they can puppy guard me all they want in hopes of firing me DH, but you'll loose for the simple fact you condoned a behavior that's against the law. Also, that nurse knows who she is, and I hope she knows that I'm not someone to mess with. She's a bully and a terrible human being who is getting away with being a total jerk and condones her kiss ups to bad behavior. Many employees write about their jobs they currently work at so I will to and I'll continue to work here till I find another job. I won't be bullied out. Patients don't hesitate to report bad behavior but always find out who took care of you. Always specify nurses, techs, and Doctor's to look out for so others can steer clear in the future, it's very common. I hope they do better because employees run, quit and transfer most of the time is because of the work environment. Do better.
A friend slipped and fell, cracked their head open. I drove them to Denver Health, where the nurse very slowly went through the standard questionnaire with someone who was visibly bleeding from the head - when she asked the person in a wheelchair, eyes closed, head bleeding “what brings you in today” I almost threw up out of surprise and disbelief - to paint the picture for you, blood on their hair, face, hands, my white shirt, my hands and intoxicated. We waited for about 30 minutes in a near-empty waiting room while they continued to bleed and cry. They took my friend back and wouldn’t let me go. I asked how long before I could go back, the nurse didn’t give me a straight answer “we’ll call you when they’re ready”. Half an hour later they took me back. My friend was alone, crying, and still bleeding, their hair matted with it, their face covered in it. They didn’t give them water or an IV. Not even a bottle of Gatorade. They took them back for a CT scan, which took 4 hours to learn was fine, and said they weren’t concussed they are. I got them water from the sink in the room, and wiped the blood off their hands and face, which I have no problem doing but would’ve preferred if they hadn’t have been left alone covered in their own blood for half an hour. They also should’ve been given some kind of liquid to help hydrate, a lesson I didn’t think you needed a Masters Degree to understand. Taking your sick and injured loved ones here is a mistake. The staff is lazy, slow, and almost comically inept. Run fast and run far, and don’t look back.
I was able to have my latest Covid immunisation and my annual flu shot promptly and all my questions were answered fully and patiently. I was very impressed by the simplicity of the whole process!
