This place is awesome I loved that they allowed toddlers of course supervised. They gave us special shoes to wear to make the rock climbing experience easier everyone there is very friendly the atmosphere is very welcoming and clean definitely planning on coming back.
Had a great time. My 7 year old loved it. We didn't climb, we just watched her. Takes some time to get good. Lots of other kids as well. Staff was great. They set us up and let us go. Super way to entertain a courageous kid. Might not be good for scared kids.
Great little trainer on the outskirts of Palm Springs. Small and intimate with a couple of belay walls and a couple of bouldering walls with standard terrain options and true-to-outdoor route grades. Great sets with challenging ratings, classes for all ages. Be aware - no locker rooms or showers available at this gym, so plan accordingly. Above all else - awesome staff and friendly community here, the two things that make any gym a pleasure to climb in. I'll definitely be visiting again!
Desert Rocks is a great experience. My son decided to take classes here to try to get over his fear of heights. The staff is incredibly encouraging and knowledgeable. They even helped my three-year old get on the wall. I would definitely recommend this gym looking for a challenge or a new skill.
Very fun experience. Definitely get a harness and go on the wall where it does everything for you. It was my first rock climing and the guy working was very helpful. He had a beard and was young maybe his name was jake I forget. Also affordable and the membership pass is worth it if you like this stuff
What an awesome place! Not only is this facility impressive to see, but the experience is first rate. Desert Rocks is meticulously clean, spacious and well organized not to mention colorful!. The staff is very knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. I brought several members from my gym and we were given 5 star treatment hence the 5 stars in return. Everyone had a great time! I highly recommend visiting, whether you're a novice or an experienced climber. You'll love it!
I visited a couple months ago when I was in the area. Since it was off season, on a Friday afternoon, I was one of only two climbers, which was nice. The space is small, but good for training. They offer bouldering, ropes walls, and auto belay in a smaller room. The problems were definitely set with the area in Mind, because the grading is slightly harder than most indoor gyms. I'm not a serious climber, but was still able to find problems to climb. Jesse, the manager, and another staff member were both incredibly welcoming and helpful. I imagine this is a great community based on the people. Glad I stopped in.
A fabulous experience at this indoor rock climbing gym. We went twice in for days, the first visit Luke helped us out and did an amazing job of taking his time explaining everything, even showed us how to belay for each other. The second visit Mike was there and he did an amazing job as well let us climb several climbs while he belayed both my husband and I He was patient and encouraging the whole time. If you have a chance go, check them out. We will be back on our next visit our west
Within 2 months I became a member of this gym. It's friendly, accessible, and built on a community of trust and teamwork. Although this gym is small in size, it makes up for it in versatile routes. I wish they had more training material for those wanting to improve. This spot is ideal for teambuilding, school trips, family days, and is ideal for newcomers! The location is not ideal, but worth the trip when you can spend easily 3 hours in the gym!
Staff is really friendly and helpful. It is a pretty small climbing gym, so if you want to do anything other than bouldering, get there when it opens. Not a lot of walls for top rope belaying. Climbing is always fun, and we will visit the gym again. But, would prefer it if it were bigger, and it seemed a little odd to me that I was told the clients grade the climbs. I am not an expert, and I rely on experts grading my climb. Other than this, it is a lot of fun, and great place to practice
