We manufacture all of our own Rack and Pinions and Axles in-house with our state of the art facility, and have over 70 years experience doing so. We have over 30 skilled employees and technicians that are on-call for customer support and trouble shooting if need be.

warranty issue with this company. cannot get warranty on lower control arms. they want you to have a shop do it youll pay for shop invoice plus shipping then labor to shop, you can order new ones with free shipping cheaper, military family stay away recommend this company be on band list. now owner asked me to call back, i have called twice today and all i got was run around with clerk, our warranty policy is just this and its on our web page. i really tried to understand but we where just going in circles. From family with Autistic child cost of this warranty is crazy. please provide a contact name to call with a number
I purchased a rack and pinion from Detroit Axle because they offered the quickest shipping but it was delayed almost two weeks. Once received it was missing the solenoid!! I contacted them to try on get the solenoid expedited to me but it was "not the process they follow". They expected me to return the entire rack and pinion and they would send a complete one once received. They said they would get back to me but never called back. I had to install the old solenoid, hope it lasts. Please avoid..
This is how our package arrived immediately upon opening. I've never seen anything like it. We are going on a trip next week and have tried to resolve this with Detroit Axle but they refuse to overnight ship or even 2 day ship.
Purchasing and delivery were great. Taking advantage of their warranty not so much. Paid over $400 for parts and got charged $143 to send replacements under their 10 year warranty after their parts failed just after 2 years. Trying to recoup money from parts already under warranty claiming “shipping costs” I had to pay is a shady practice. Won’t buy from them again.
Very nice service! I bought a pair of rotors 2 months ago thru Amazon and they came well packed and so far I'm feeling safe when slowing down. Today, I also received wheel bearing assembly and they look SOOO good. Amazing job, I'll update how they fit in my Corolla 2018 soon.! Nice price, fast shipping and easy to navigate website. It would be cool to know or receive a notification when an item out of stock get back to stock.
Have to say my visit started off annoying. I called the day before to get the total for to the car out. The lady in the office pulled it up and even said the owners name a male name to a female calling. I went the next day to pick it up. When I arrived I was told the registered owner had to be there. Which I could have been told over the phone the prior. So I had to go back home and get a note and my dad's ID. I understand it's policy but it could have told to save me time. The 5 stars come from the driver who delivered my car. My axle had broke, that's how I ended up getting towed and impounded. Joe took his time and was very careful not to cause more damage. His politeness and care is was turned my opinion around. Thank you Joe for taking such great care of my Ford Edge@
Not a fan of their company and how their warranty policies are. When you need to use the warranty, they won't allow you to do both front and brake rotors at the same time, nor will they let you just do an exchange like Autozone unless you have it diagnosed by an ASE tech along with brake pads not being able to have a lifetime warranty. Plus they'll send you the wrong item and wrong quantity more than once and their email for customer service is terrible and so is trying to get someone on the phone. Still awaiting a resolve to my issue and probably won't go back to them again. Here are the photos of what I need replaced and photos of what they've sent me so far too...One for the other vehicles I had ordered and not the right vehicle described in the claim. Then they'll just respond as below stating to waste your time on the phone amd to transfer you...no I want a supervisor to call me and respond to my email on this too and they'll NEVER get a 5 star rating even after fixing this issue.
This company doesn’t stand behind their warranty! Power steering rack blew out after 6 months of being installed. Had a professional shop install the rack. Because I did not send back the old rack I had to pay 80 dollars to activate warranty and then 130.87 cents for a deposit. Then they would deduct 35 dollars for shipping cost so I would only get back 95.87 as a refund.? So I paid 185.40 for the first rack, now have too pay 210.87 What kind of warranty is that? Why would I pay you 115 dollars more to replace your poorly made defective power steering rack for another poorly made steering rack. Great warranty they have. I will never buy any part from Detroit axel. I recommend buying parts from a reliable vendor. Detroit axel is everything but reliable!!!! I guess you get what you pay for from this company STAY AWAY FROM DETROIT AXEL!
I thought I read somewhere that this company is outstanding, well I beg to differ. Buying online was easy up to the point of it being misleading in the description of it fitting my truck or not, so I bought them with hopeful thinking that they might take these back if they were not right. Well to make the story short, I have contacted this company multiple times and have been ghosted on all accounts, I guess I will have to live with brake calipers that won't fit a thing I own. CRAZY, NO CUSTOMER SERVICE! The products are wonderful but now that I am experiencing this NO CUSTOMER Service, I will be sure to tell all my customers, friends, and family not to buy from here.
I am maybe the perfect choice for durability testing as I drive 100 miles per day in off road conditions daily on a mail route for USPS. Using my personal vehicle. The customer service and warranty at Detroit axle is great. Thank you
