First light is full of it, yesterday there were no reservations available for July, This morning June 1st it's open to reserve but there's not one reservation available for the whole month of July when you go to the park though it's empty!!! This is a place where I grew up with my family enjoying every weekend now you have people fill up the whole list for the whole summer second summer in a row really full of s***!!!
Beautiful place today July 30 I found out is close for summer due to Covid-19
Very beautiful clean water and great space. Will be coming back
finally was able to get reservation after years of enjoying park ! know they had to do something about overcrowding but getting pass is very difficult as all days were blocked out then when arrived for day only few people in whole park! it was beautiful summer day, water was clear and warm. enjoyed our kayaking but how many families with children who could be enjoying this beautiful park miss out due to flawed reservation system
Great place for a day family getaway
What has Firstlight done to this place? Online Reservation granted that they're free required for any visit during the daytime in the summer? I just want to take a walk when I get home from work I'm only 2 minutes away, now I have to make a reservation EVERY SINGLE DAY? I'm well aware of the problems created by visitors to this park in the past, noise, vandalism, littering, etc., but there must be a more competent way of handling the situation. All that said, it is still a very lovely park especially if you are able to visit on foot after hours.
The park now has a reservations only system where you have to reserve at least a couple days in advance to be able to enter the park. This is thanks in part to the crowd that this park had been attracting over the years. I was able to get a reservation and took my brother. Once we arrived it felt like a customs examination. There were multiple security guards here. Something you don't normally expect to see when visiting a park. The park was nice but it would have been nicer if it wasn't littered with trash. My brother and I spent about 40 minutes here fishing. The shoreline drops off pretty steep and there is limited space. While here it felt like we were being watched.... We had to be let out...very awkward... It kind of felt like we just got done visiting a prison... Unfortunately, FirstLight had not thought out anything when implementing this policy. I understand why they had to implement it- especially since it took me 6 or 8 years to be able to even visit for half an hour and fish due to crowds. The solution is simple. Remove the grills, remove the picnic tables, and ban grilling. This should help chase away the unsavory element without making uncomfortable for those who respect the park.
An excellente park armofara in conection with the natural
Was good. Now often full of ticks and poison ivy. Also the online reservation system has me only going after it shuts. Good little beach, and a few other swimming spots.
Used to be a good place to go with family now you have all these ppl reserving everyday the week blocking out every month really messed up you guys let this happen!!!
