We had a reservation at 11:45 and were seated promptly. All of the servers were pleasant. We had soup dumplins, regular dumplins, chicken noodles, spicy wintons, and pork chop fried rice. The food came out fast and in waves which worked out well, it was hot and delicious. We will definitely be back.Food: 5/5
Was walking around the mall during our last visit to Torrance and came upon this place. Originally just walked by looking for some other kind of food but decided to go back and give this place a try. Glad we did. It was Mothers Day so the place was really busy, not sure if that is the norm. All the food is served family style, so we decided to try several different items. Each plate was really well seasoned and tasted excellent. The star of the meal was the chicken dumplings forget the name but they burst with chicken broth in your mouth... so so good and the dessert chocolate dumplings so so so good. Do yourself a favor and stop in this place, eat, drink, you will not be disappointed. Next time we are in Torrance I will 100% go back for the dumplings. Additionally, the staff was super friendly and very attentive, the service was on time everything just flowed. Really check this place out. I know this place is a chain so I cannot speak for the other locations I have only tried the one in Torrance. I do not usually give chain restaurants such rave reviews but this place is different.
The food here is amazing. You can even see the soup dumplings being prepared Ina front window display before you enter. These soup dumpling are hands down the best I have ever had. Be prepared the portions are small and the prices are alittle high bit they are well worth the price.Food: 5/5
This place is so good! Come with a group, as everything is served to share. My meat-eating friends all love the xiao long bao. I come for the veggies, especially the string beans, mustard greens, and the garlicky kale. I usually just eat kale for the health benefits, but here it is so delicious that I genuinely enjoy it! The vegan dumplings are good, the spicy vegan wontons are amazing. Lots of vegan options here, and everything is clearly labeled. The staff is very friendly and will help with any concerns. They're always busy, so expect a wait and a noisy environment, but it's totally worth it. Vegetarian options: All the vegetable dishes are vegan, and there are vegan dumplings and noodles. Everything vegan is labeled so on the menu.
Located on the top floor of the mall. I can't wait to go back! 5/5 Chocolate & Mochi Xiao Long Bao with sweet cream side - the chocolate was so rich, and tasted like brownie batter top 3 5/5 Black Pepper Beef Tenderloin - the steak was so tender and loved the flavors top 3 5/5 Vegetable & Kurobuta Pork Spicy Wontons - loved the spicy level, this was very flavorful top 3 5/5 Cucumbers Salad - cool, crisp, refreshing, not spicy 5/5 String Beans with Garlic - I'm not a string bean fan but loved this - perfectly cooked! 5/5 Vegan Shanghai Rice Cakes - soft, chewy, flavorful 4/5 Vegetable & Mushroom Fried Rice 3/5 Sticky Rice & Kurobuta Pork Shao Mai 3/5 Sesame Noodles - this was sweet and spicy and I prefer one instead of both flavors 3/5 Vegan Bun - this wasn't as flavorful as I expected it to be 5/5 Lychee Mojito - I liked this better 5/5 Pear Lychee Martini - Stronger The service was really great! The server was very helpful for first-timers and recommended the pepper beef tenderloin, which ended up being our favorite dish. If it's your first time, let them know and they'll help you through the ordering process paper that has all items listed
If you love dumplings, then you have to try Din Tai Fung! This is my daughter's favorite restaurant because she is obsessed with soup dumplings. Din Tai Fung is a Chinese restaurant that specializes in dumplings and noodles. They hand-make the dumplings and you can even watch them do it. Every time we come, my daughter does the ordering. She knows exactly what she wants. We start with the cucumber salad and a honey milk tea with boba. We then go crazy and get all the soup dumplings. We also order a variety of dumplings, and noodles with spicy sauce. The service was perfect! The wait staff was quick and attentive. The food of course was spot on! Everything tasted fresh and delightful. They are always super busy with long lines. So the ambiance inside is busy and loud. Which makes the experience even more fun. I highly recommend making a reservation to avoid waiting in line. Especially on the weekend.
I won’t get into why one goes to Din Tai Fung.. you can Google it’s history etc. I’ll just get to the point: Pros: This location takes reservations!!! It’s clean, airy and civilized, compared to their other locations. Cons: Pricey for Chinese food - but then again, you’re coming here and paying for “Din Tai Fung”.
I really liked this place! The wood ear mushrooms are really good and the vegan buns are good, but I do reccomend with sauce because they could be a little dry. The vegetable fried noodles is very good, and I’d say it’s a good portion. A little expensive but it’s good. I would come back.Recommended dishesVegan
Absolutely delicious! We’ve been here so many times to celebrate special events. Our favorites are the bok choy, green beans, chicken dumplings + their new chicken xiao long bao, the veggie noodles, and their lychee tea. Everything is customizable and the service is always incredible. If you haven’t been, you have to go treat yourself.
1st - time experience was great. I enjoyed everything I ate. From the appetizer “cucumber salad”, the “chicken xiao long bao”, the “noodles with spicy sauce” & the shrimp fried rice. My drink “fresh orange green iced tea” was very refreshing. I’d love to come back and try many other items from the menu. Not only does it all look good but it tastes better
