B++..... It's no fine dining but way better than fast food. I had double burger and onion rings. Was very pleased. 11 bucks for a good sit down meal with tv was great. Only complaint is that my waitress seemed new and was not very "server like". She forgot my order and had to come back and ask me. And once she set the food down she never came back not even to refill my drink. She checked me out but had to go ask what the prices where. She seemed to just not really care. There was a nother woman there that seem to be a long time server and was supper nice to everyone. So if I had got the other server I would say 5 star A+.
Service was terrible and the country fried steak was pork, not steak, and paper thin. Never could get the waitress to come by after she brought out the food, I've had better table service at a McDonald's. Completely unacceptable. I very seriously doubt I'll be coming here again anytime soon.
I stopped there this morning. The food was OK, but a bit pricey. It has been sold and is now Faye's Dinner.
The waitress was nice but as for the food not so much. Tasted about the same quality food that you get at a continental breakfast at a cheap hotel. Looked the same as food that you get at a continental breakfast at a cheap hotel. If I wanted Hotel food I would have gone to a hotel and got in the hotel room. McDonald's food is better then this. the only reason I give two stars is for the waitress.
It's not 4.1 stars! Must be locals and relatives comments. Restaurant food low quality and slow service. I've eaten here several times to try and give it a chance to make it to 2 stars, but food is bland and showers never clean. Parking is good and little snack convenience store plus cat scale. Laundry available but machines are old.
I've never used their restraint. I have used their bathrooms and their parking lot and purchased gas there. From what I have seen of the restaurant, they have mostly tables and a 3-seat lunch counter to sit at. There is a big tv in the corner that plays Fox News a lot and some religious tracts in the entryway. I have no idea how the food or the service or the pricing is. I'm mainly leaving this review so Google will stop asking me to review this place.
Can't see where people would say it's "great food". Maybe for a truck stop yes, but great? No. Some people really need to try food at great restaurants instead of quantifying the word "great" against McDonald's or Subway. Best thing about the place is plenty of truck parking.
For those that may not be familiar and for those that are, if you're looking for an `Authentic Old Fashioned Hamburger`, give this place a try. I've spent countless years locating restaurants serving meals that reflect earlier periods of time, where meals were made with proper ingredients and I do have to confess, this is a place where burgers are made properly. Uncertain how old the chef may be, but if he is fairly young, I tip my hat to him on his cooking abilities. It is worth the stop should you happen to be in the vicinity. It may appear as a `Hole-In-The-Wall`, but the food `is` delectable.
This place is open. Nice little family friendly place. Decent food for a decent price. Friendly staff, had dinner here last night and breakfast this morning. This will be my stopping spot when I come back through here. It's an older stop and works for me just fine, it's like taking a step back into yesteryear. I personally loved it
Before flying out of Owensboro Tues morning, a young couple suggested I eat at Lucy’s Diner, so we stopped in for a quick cup of coffee and some biscuits and gravy. Lucy was the most joyful, attentive server/business owner I have ever met! My experience was great and unforgettable!! Thank you so much, and keep up the amazing work!
