I found this place by typing in "thrift stores near me" on Google maps and decided to stopped by on a whim since it's close to Thrift Giant. When I first walked in, the store looked small and I was underwhelmed yet when I asked the cashier if they had any furniture, that's when she pointed to the back of the store and I realized there are doors that open to more areas. I walked back there and it was huge! I hit the furniture thrift JACKPOT! My husband and I just bought a house and we need a lot of furniture and decor now so I am definitely coming back here for items! I'm so excited we discovered this place! We also met the owner, Jesse, and he was a kind and helpful man! I'm very impressed! My only reason for 4 stars is the hours. They are only opened till 5:30 Monday - Friday and that's really hard for me since I work a typical 8-5. Once you factor in drive time, I wouldn't make it here in time. So even if I want to come here, I'm essentially forced to spend my money elsewhere since they're actually opened later. Overall, I'm excited to visit this store on weekends and find some unique pieces!
Great and new owners did an outstanding job updating and lighting. Prices are great too!
Some of the stuff found here: furniture, kids playground plastic toys, blades and brackets for fans, doors, antique baby carriages and rocking horses, plumbing and electrical odds and ends, wheelchair and walker, grandfather clocks, hardrives, big screen TVs, card tables, small pet carriers, vintage books, bowling balls. A great afternoon, dressing rooms and bargain bins. Men's section too.
I could see there are some redeeming qualities. Pros: clothing seems sorted well and fairly priced. Furniture seems about 60% usable. The stuff that’s usable is priced fairly. Cons: outdated electronics that aren’t worth pennies. Random completely useless clutter that should be scrapped and reconstituted. If your decor requires the cashier to announce every fifteen minutes that it isn’t for sale, your decor is pointless.
My all time favorite thrift store . Plenty of bargains
It's been yrs since I've been there but most of my life it was my family's go to. Great memories, people and deals. Family has mostly passed now but this DAV will hold that special place in my heart.
Loved coming here as kid with my dad and as the years have passed by prices are now very high under new management. While they do have neat things to find make sure you look underneath items to see the price before making a purchase. Had I know before buying two ducks were $15 each I would have never made the purchase. Being a thrift store I wasn't expecting to pay salvation army prices. Will not come back.
This was a while back & I wanted to donate some clothes and other items. And before I did that I had everything sorted into bags. When we took them here they complained how it made their job harder because he wasn't able to just throw it into the bin that they use.
Very disappointed. Donated a whole entire house of stuff that was less than 2 years old and all of it was thrown away by whoever the guy is that does the donation drop off. We then came back with furniture two bedroom suites, tables, chairs, and side tables and we were denied saying it was all trash. After saying everything was junk, he refused to give us a cash receipt even though they took all our stuff... Apparently this man does this often and throws away a lot of donations. Please think of donating else where. However, Bonnie is very nice and she was very apologetic of his actions and will be giving us a cash receipt. Only upside of this is Bonnie!
I had been going here since I was about 10 years old. The store and staff and bosses have always been great! And yes I worked here for a year in 97-98. I have shopped there a few times since.Loved working there. Great crew then. I m sure now to. Love D.A.V.. for all you do for our veterans. Now I have a daughter that is grown has been in the Air Force for 14 years now. She is a Staff Sargent. I'm very proud of her. One day she to will be a Veteran.
