I booked this stay over the phone not knowing what it would be like as I’ve done this one other time while vacationing in Gulf shores to only have a bad experience with a ground I won’t mention Victoria assured me our stay would not be a disappointment and WOW was she right from everything Docs had to offer I will say this is the BEST most affordable reasonable stay ever ! The bath house and restrooms stay cleaned all day and evening with as many people in and around I was amazed and how well kept the facility and grounds are ! The swimming pool was amazing it started full with different age groups to enjoy in a sorta schedule Adult time with no kids kiddo time for respectful rowdy time , Easy access to get to of the beach congested path , Easy access to Fort Morgan to explore and experience the Fort Morgan ferry that takes you out to Daphine Island . If you are a camping person or camping family looking to stay at a cheaper rate than those high priced condos and hotels DOCS RV IS FOR YOU ! Thank You Victoria for all the details and the best place to stay Nearby activities: It’s was very easy access to Orange Beach , Fort Morgan Ferry that takes you out to Daphne Island , Five minutes back up to Foley if you want to eat away from the beach congestion ! Safety: Very well lite area , back of the busy congestion of the beach never was worried of anything staying here Very safe place to bring your family ! The pool is what impressed me with the best safety features having lots of littles running and playing around Docs you are a win win win in a family friendly atmosphere The July 4th parade was by far the best I’ve ever seen all the families and kiddos that participated on bikes and their golf carts was so awesome ! Noteworthy details: I booked this place with online details and it was everything plus Amazing clean camping , OUTSTANDING grounds , amazing clean pool, awesome laundry facilities , Family or couple you feel right at home @ Docs RV YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR STAY AT DOCS RV !
Very basic. My first site gave me the view of the corregated siding of a park unit. When I asked to move I was told that was my only option. A few minutes later I asked if I could get my money back and I'd just leave. Somehow the lady at the desk found a much more acceptable spot for me but I still canceled my 2nd
Doc’s is the diamond in the ruff. Extremely family friendly and quiet. Hidden away. I only wish the bath houses were air controlled in the hot months. But if your camper has a good shower, it doesn’t matter.
We really enjoyed our stay this winter. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Morning coffee in the clubhouse, and often games in the afternoons and evenings. At the last moment, we decided to leave our RV at home, so we rented a park model, and were very comfortable. I like that the park is on FT Morgan Road, rather than on the busy main road. There is a very nice walking/bike path right at the end of the driveway. It is only a little over a mile to a nice grocery store and shopping center, and it's also only a couple of miles to the beach and the park. Made lots of' friends there, and hope to visit again!
Love this place! We enjoyed the quiet laid back atmosphere! Very cleanRooms: 5/5
Staff very nice. Close to restaurants. Site’s on sand. Had to vacuum every other day. No pool. Red ants everywhere and biting. Terrible landscaping. Owners don’t want to improve the park. Bike paths in font that was nice. Raise the rent 300 dollars plus tax a month. No amenities. Sorry, not worth the price.
Doc's is the best rv park in Gulf Shores. Sites are set with plenty of space, the facilities are always clean, and the staff is welcoming! Ms Denise and the girls in the office are amazing. Nearby activities: The beach is only a hop skip and a jump away.
Very nice RV Park. Quiet, friendly staff and seasonal residents, clean facilities, hot showers, cable and Wifi. Didn't use pool but looked nice. Convenient location. Laundry facility had option to pay with app which was nice so you didn't need quarters; however, it was a fee of 25¢ to use per wash/dry. There is a clubhouse with activities such as game nights, pasta night, etc. They have mobile homes scattered throughout park that can be rented if you don't have an RV. There is a playground, though I didn't see many kids. Mostly retirees. They also have a storage area in back where at a reasonable fee can store an RV. They will also place it in your spot before you arrive for a nominal fee as well. The only issue I had was with the Wifi. It's spotty. When it worked, it was slow which was frustrating as I work remotely. The spots are mostly gravel but are level. I stayed in spot 54 at first but decided to stay a month and moved to 30. Though the last few days had to move to 74 due to a previous booking in 30. All were fine. 54 was right across from laundry, ladies room and pool. 30 was the most aesthetically pleasing with the trees with Spanish moss surrounding it. Also it's across from Clubhouse which also has a bathroom, mailroom, coffee in the morning, office. Then, 74 which is all the way at the end near the storage areas. Spacious private spot. Though I noticed a bit cooler as there are no buildings in front blocking the wind as there are the other two spots. During my stay there was construction going on in the new community being built next door. Not sure how long that will go on but I'm sure the spots on the east side were more affected by it. Though hammering could be heard throughout starting early in the morning. They also can fill your propane on site if need be during the week day.
This was our first time staying at Doc’s RV. It’s a small quiet campground. We stayed for a month mid January to mid February. There are many people here that return year after year. Everyone is very friendly. There is a wonderful bike/walk trail next to it. This is a no frills campground. It does have a pool and very clean bathrooms. So if you are looking for a lot of amenities, this campground isn’t it but if you are looking for a nice quiet stay; this is definitely it.
We are new to Doc's , this is our third visit. We honestly feel Iove with this place the very first time we stayed. We started out with a month and we're at 3 this year. Denise is a kind and helpful manager who along with her husband we consider not just close friends but family.Jerry the guy who helps with the park upkeep does so many other things for so many. It's like a big family and again we love it.
