We visited during the Mountain State Scottish Games and Celtic Festival. This is a nice big park with multiple walking paths, playgrounds, sunny and shaded seating areas, and a very inviting splash pad with a bucket water drop so fun. There was also plenty of space for another group having a birthday party in a pavilion down the hill, despite the festival. It is just a 30 minute drive from Clarksburg/Bridgeport area. We will definitely be back in the future and recommend a visit if you are in the area.
Out of all the parks I have visited this one is by far the best! This park is the cleanest park I've ever seen, when you visit you can tell the staff keep up maintenance very well. The staff goes above and beyond the call of duty, & bend over backwards for people visiting. I highly recommend all visit this park. Jon and Greg are the best.
The park was huge. There is a dog area, little playground for smaller children, one for the the bigger children, covered picnic seating, a 3 to 13 foot pool with two diving boards, a section for the toddlers in the pool as well, basketball courts, even a stage for performances, and at least two softball fields with plenty of parking all around the park. Nice size park with many different things to enjoy your day outside. Playground: Nice playground, the tire mulch will dirty your shoes and feet, though. Restrooms: There were public restrooms. However, we didn't need to use them Dog-friendliness: There is a whole section provided for your dog's needs. Picnic area: There was a covered picnic seating area near the pool and other benches scattered around the park for seating as well l.
We were there for the Bee keepers event. Drove around the park and were impressed. Really nice park. Wife and I are thinking of getting into disc golf and the course look fun for beginners. Lots of pavilions as well.
Great find! This RV park is huge and fare priced. RV sites are nestled along the river. We were here over Halloween weekend, the park was full but not overcrowded due too it's size. They had movie night, a haunted house and plenty of outdoor activities to do. The staff is friendly and helpful. This is definitely a favorite.
Beautiful park set in the small, county of Dodderidge West VA. The facility has been up graded over the last few years. Walking paths, pool, children's " splash pad". Camping with full hook ups, Yerts and views and peaceful setting. Charges are very reasonable and the staff are so friendly and helpful. We are going back.
Very quiet and clean campground. We were right up by the shower house with a full hook up. Shower house was very clean, and private. Common area was very nice as well with TV, grill to use, and plenty of tables under cover. Pool is very nice and a brand new splash pads. Disc golf, basketball courts and plenty of places to rides bikes. We enjoy being at places where you can just relax and that is definitely this place. They have a small store if you forget anything too. I'll be sure to come fully stocked up on food next time, local stores are pricey and smaller selection. There is a Subway close and a gas station. My only compliant would be pulling in can be kinda confusing on where to go. Needs to be identified better. Also, if you have a smaller truck on a bigger camper, you better get a little bit of a run up the hill when leaving. Other that that a great little get-a-way!!
Excellent staff. Campers like family. Awesome big camp spots. Our favorite place to camp! Restrooms: Very clean! Dog-friendliness: Dogs have plenty of walking areas. Everyone picks up.
We camped here overnight in our pop-up and were thoroughly impressed. The campsites are a new addition to the adjoining park as of April 2019. A creek flows around the perimeter. We found the place extremely clean with very friendly and helpful staff. Very Handicapped accessible. Nice store that also sells local artisan creations. A shelter area between the store and restrooms has table/chairs, a gas fireplace, and a mounted TV WITH remotes. I especially love the fact that the funds support the local community. I found out that they are currently adding more RV slips, an area for tent camping, another Yurt, and hiking and biking trails. If we are anywhere in the area again, this will be a place we will stay.
I stayed at the campground had a great time beautiful, very clean. the bathhouse was great as well
