I was there for the 1st yearly Tallahassee Metropolitan Bridal Expo hosted by Beyond Expectations Events & Wedding Planning. Everyone was great, vendors were fantastic, such a fun time. Incredible giveaways and prizes.
Florida State University had commencement at the Donald L. Tucker center. There were lots of seats, but had section numbers and directions easily in view. They had a concessions and plenty restrooms. Six screens were placed so that anyone would be able to see up close.
I attended the Noah Kahan concert on October 12 with a friend with Pit General Admission tickets. The artist's performance was phenomenal, but this was one of the worst cases of venue mismanagement I have ever seen. We arrived around noon and a group of fans had decided to establish a numbering system to honor the time of arrival. I understand that the venue has no responsibility to honor this, but what followed was an incredibly chaotic process that allowed attendees who arrived mere minutes before doors opened to enter the venue before those that had been waiting for hours. Venue staff waited to set up security checkpoints until less than 30 minutes before the doors opened. Additionally, these checkpoints were set up at a different entrance than additionally labeled, causing the line to be pushed back in an unorganized manner. Three different checkpoints resulted in the line to split in such a way that attendees much further back were now first in line. Before doors opened, event staff did not distribute wristbands to general admission attendees and once inside the venue, some staff insisted on viewing tickets again while others did not. This resulted on some attendees being able to reach the general admission area much more quickly, resulting in the aforementioned chaos that left many disappointed. It is widely understood that there are no guarantees with a general admission ticket, however, I am immensely disappointed in how this event was handled. It should make sense that an attendee that arrived 30 minutes before the doors opened should not be able to be in a better position than those that arrived 5+ hours earlier. I hope future events are handled much better.
Chicago concert was great. They did not plan well with parking. Approximately 50 pre cent of parking was RV's for big FSU football game. Concert was great.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$31+
Good venue and set up for the show but why were there only two bartenders at the lounge? The other food kiosks had ample staff and flowed smoothly. Otherwise all was good.
Great place to schedule your events! Best cooking catering crew in town. Food tastes delicious each time. Plenty parking but on football games it is blocked. You can park easy on basketball games and concerts. Close to FSU campus and downtown. They keep the place nice, clean and cool.
Its been years since I’ve been to the civic center but Whiskey Myers absolutely blew the roof off the building!!! Beer and food prices arent too bad, they are lower then other venues for the same beer
Chicago was a great show and performance! Incredible musicians still killing it after more than 50 years.
Beautiful facility with AWESOME workers! Great time seeing FSU beat NFU! Great game! Go Noles! Got my COVID shots here, so it was cool to see it used for its design.
We went to the Dig your boots tour. Seats were pretty comfortable. Had a hard time finding our seats at first. Finding a parking spot out of the main lot is a little difficult. I recommend getting there pretty early to park in the main lot.
