I will forever be grateful to this hotel and can count on my loyalty. My son missed his flight due to a delay. When he got re-scheduled it wasn't until the following morning. I was worried about him staying overnight at the airport. It was about 11pm and I was able to call the hotel, reserve a room, and have the hotel shuttle go to the airport and pick him up. He called me when he was settled at the hotel and I was so relieved that he was safe at the hotel. The shuttle took him back to the airport in the morning and he is home safe! There aren't enough stars to express my gratitude and appreciation!
Hotel stay wasn’t horrible but I wouldn’t stay here again. Our first room had small black insects on the bed wasn’t bedbugs but a bug is a bug and that’s a no for me. We were given a different room immediately. It was better. Rooms could use a makeover. Breakfast was ok. The omelet bar may be the best thing at the buffet. The hotel gets 2 stars but I gave a 5 star rating because the staff is exceptional! There were resourceful and very nice. From the front desk to the kitchen staff!
First the good stuff. Cheerful and accommodating staff, clean and pleasant rooms and common areas. Meeting and catering staff efficient and cordial. Hotel is dated, rooms are comfortable but not fully soundproofed. Can hear adjoining rooms TV and conversations. Breakfast is $15 plus tip voluntary of course, but who but a savage doesn’t tip. They also serve dinner in the evening but I didn’t try that. There is Denny’s across the parking lot but you won’t pay much less there for breakfast. I guess Doubletree wants to be upscale, but Hyatt it is not. I would prefer Hilton Garden or Hampton Inn, but this was for work, so no choice.
The rooms are usually nice, the breakfast and amenities are good as well but it’s very poorly run and the reception people are rude. The airport shuttle takes an hour even though they say it’s just 5 minutes away over and over when you call. Last time I went I booked a king bed and they put me in the handicap one which was fine but it had a very strong musty smell and so I had to get another room. They never apologized or even acknowledged that I wasn’t getting what I paid for. Just a simple sorry about that we’ll get you another room would be enough but they just had a terrible attitude about it. Today was the cherry on top. Booked a room, waited 40 minutes for the shuttle, called them and they said they didn’t have rooms even though I had paid and booked it online already. A very poorly run hotel with nice rooms.
Dated and poorly maintained. Shower not functional in the room and not discovered until the morning I needed to get ready. No way this was not a known maintenance issue if the room had been cleaned prior to my stay. Complained at the desk that this was not acceptable and was told nothing could be done since there wasn't a manager on property. Breakfast was decent quality and value. I'd advise staying elsewhere until a full refurbishment is done. Lots of other properties at this price point to pick from in the same area.
The location is good and the staff are super friendly, but the hotel is not in great shape. The AC in the room is loud, the carpeting doesn’t look new, the walls and ceiling are both popcorn, the fittings are a little dingy, and the lobby feels cramped and dark. It’s not terrible, especially if you’re not spending much time there, but I wouldn’t stay there again. The exception is the staff, who are incredibly friendly and helpful.
Great service!!! Got in town late and tired and we were taken care of quickly and courteously. I think the front desk attendant was Antoine? He was amazing! We were not treated well at another hotel, but he helped us out and got us in a room. I will definitely be back!Rooms: 5/5
Friendly staff and accommodating shuttle. The bed was very comfortable. But... this was not what I was expecting from a Hilton partner. VERY outdated and has a lot of deferred maintenance and poorly done renovations. Cramped rooms, poor lighting, cracked countertops, chipped paint, wallpaper falling off, water damage to ceiling. Unfortunately, I paid the full price being a Hilton honors member. Wondering if there is any benefit at all to membership. I would not complain too much with the <$100 rate I just found on Google, but $144 was a little steep for the poor condition of the hotel. Only there for 6 hours, so it served its purpose.
Old rooms. Noise from Rooms next door. Walls to thin designed. Maintenance urgently needed in different rooms. One out of two elevators not in service for weeks but no sign. Staff or management does not care about guests. Lounge always missing different things a day. Find another hotel.
My husband and I stayed here last night to attend the International Federation of Leathercrafter Guilds show. Everything about our stay was excellent. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate the needs of the Lone Star Guild who was hosting the show this year. Our room was in great condition and exceptionally clean. The breakfast buffet was very good - my omelet was large, full of many different ingredients and very tasty. The fruit was fresh and very good. All though this was all that we had, the rest of the buffet choices looked to be very good too. Let me also mention that each person receives a bottle of water and a Doubletree chocolate chip cookie at check in. This cookie was one of the best I've ever had. The food prepared for our Saturday night banquet was excellent.. far far better than most hotel banquet dinners! You won't go wrong staying here.
