Update your times on google. Drove there since google reviews say you close at 10. But the doors say 6pm sat and sun.
Downriver Urgent Care is the closest urgent care location that takes my insurance. After a mishap this morning where I needed stitches, I looked it up, checked their website to make sure they were open Saturdays they note "7 Days a week, 365 days a year. We are open on all holidays, including Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year. Walk-ins are always welcome". I arrived at the clinic thankful that the parking lot was empty because that meant it could be a quick visit. Nope. There was a receptionist but they had no doctor on site that day. Didn't really seem apologetic or offer any suggestions to help either. What's the point of being open 365/7 if there isn't someone who can treat you? I went to a different urgent care. I'm glad I was able to do so safely.
I will never return here again. I saw a female doctor I can’t remember her name. But I cannot believe this woman is allowed to practice medicine. She has zero understanding of patient consideration, privacy, or bedside manner. While she conducted her assessment, she agreed that I was having the symptoms that I had gone in for, but then refused to provide any medication due to my “not having any symptoms.” It didn’t make any sense. Also, the assessment that she performed was embarrassing, unprofessional, and sloppy. She didn’t know how to use the supplies and was unprepared. Due to this, when I was exposed on the table, she repeatedly had the assistant open the door to get more supplies. All to receive no treatment and a print out of my condition in Chinese because she didn’t know how to use the computer. When I called to ask for treatment from a different doctor, I was told that no one was in and someone would return my call. To no surprise, my call has yet to be returned weeks later. Thanks to this urgent care, I’ve lost my time, money, and patience, and still have not received any treatment!!
I came here on a Monday very sick. I could barely sit up and was just out of it. I had to wait a long time, and even after I got in the exam room, I still had to wait. My sister brought me in and they gave her tons of paper work which I couldn't fill out. Receptionist was very rude. The nurse was wonderful. Dr. told me I had a sinus infection.Waiting for Dr. to see me after an injection and for him to call in my prescriptions. I am told that he is in a meeting. Again, I am very sick and just want to go home. He finally comes out of the meeting. I got Amoxicillin which gave me diarrhea. I called the clinic, they told me to go on full liquids for 24 hours. I couldn't leave my house because the diarrhea was so bad. Sunday I finally went back to the clinic for follow up and to see about the diarrhea. I was charged another $25.00 for a co-pay. Co-pay for a follow up? Are you kidding me? I was going to give this clinic a good rating until that happened. I will never go back to this clinic again.
I can see why they are never busy. They don’t answer their phone and the mailbox is full. Went for a Covid test will definitely not be back any reason. That shows me how unprofessional they are so why would I leave my health care in their hands. No thank you. There are so many other urgent cares to choose from. I went there because the parking lot was empty when every other urgent care had 4-6 hour waits. I guess I know why now.
Absolutely never coming here again. Hours of operation start at 10am... Not here apparently. Doors were locked at 1005am. So i called because the sign outside saying open was on also. Receptionist tells me doctor will not be in until 11am. I said that is fine but your doors are still locked. An she only repeated that the doctor wouldn't be there until 11am. If that is the case change your hours of operation. Also don't turn your signs on if your actually NOT open. Waste of time.
This place should get zero stars. I'm not sure if the physician knows what he's doing. All I know is that I feel cheated out of my money. He just wanted to pump me up with antibiotics instead of addressing my problems. $95 for office visit, $80 for a shot I probably do not need!!! All he had to do was drain the abscess. Now I'm still stuck with my problem and I'll have to go see a competent doctor. I swear some doctors are only in it for the money. I am so angry that I wasted my money for nothing. After sensing my displeasure, the receptionist Later called and said the physician didn't think that I needed it drained and that he was trying to save me some money and that if I needed it drained it would be an extra $140. Are you kidding me right now? If I never needed the thing drained I wouldn't have gone to the doctor in the first place. Mark you, this was said after they told me that the doctor cannot drain the abscess because it is too large. They are a bunch of liars. They will say anything to just take your money and send you on your way. I feel so cheated, which makes me so angry right now.
This one of the worst places to receive treatment. Doctors are careless and unprofessional. A series of HIPAA violations, OSHA violations, they do not sanitize and are sloppy. The whole place is a joke and I'm pretty sure the business is committing fraud. So I suggest no one goes here. They will tell you your fine when your not. Employees start work at 9 and the Dr won't even come in until 11-12 and will then rush thru the patients just so they can quickly collect as many patients money that they can get. The turnover rate is so high. They talk really nasty about the very patients they are "helping" yes I've heard them. Been coming here on and off and honestly I should have said something long before. I repeat. DO NOT VISIT HERE!
The people there were very nice and had a great sense of humor while I got a Covid-19 test. They were very patient and understand when I needed help and answered all my questions. They answered my calls during the day, but they did say they only have like two people at the phones, which is why they are so busy sometimes, but I didn't have any issues when I contacted them in the middle of the day. Good experience over all.
Even after I told the girl at the desk that I've met my co payment for the year she still made me pay the $40 copayment to be seen by the doctor. I called my insurance company who said that they were not supposed to do that . It is now 6 weeks later and I still have not received my money back after making several calls to this place. The wait is ridiculously long also and this is the second time I've gone where the doctor really didn't give me anything to make me feel better. I also specifically asked the doctor to not prescribe me anything that is contraindicated in pregnancy. Although he gave me a pregnancy test, at my request, which was negative he still prescribed me something. I am now almost 10 weeks. Luckily I never took what he prescribed. Needless to say I will not be going back.
