Dr. Kim has taken a genuine interest in my overall health. Since I started seeing her, I've lost over 20 pounds, increased my energy, improved my diet, and have greatly motivated to maintain it. All of this has been accomplished by following the advice of Dr. Kim to start a regime of hormone treatments to increase my testosterone and the right medicine to manage my blood pressure. She has also provided guidance in the appropriate use of supplements to boost my immune system and to ensure my body is functioning optimally. Dr. Kim's entire office reflects her passion for healthy and natural ways to improve ones physical and mental well-being.
The doctor is professional and the office staff is nice. No issues there. My biggest problem is with her "health & wellness" practice vs her medical practice. I saw her for my gyn needs. When she made a recommendation for something, I could never tell if it was for medical reasons or if it was for "health & wellness." If it was for the later, there was always a sizable extra amount that I had to pay for pills or supplements or something. I don't need suggestions that like when I'm trying to get a Pap smear. I finally switched doctors so I wouldn't have to worry about being "offered" things I didn't medically need.
I regret having to write this; 3 months ago wife and I sat in Dr Loomis' office as she explained the benefits of Biot'e hormone replacement pellets and how my testosterone levels would go from 550 to around 1000 and I would regain my energy, focus, libido, etc. This was a MAJOR decision and costly for my family totaling around $900. Well, after the treatment 3 months ago my levels are at 650 and I am still tired all the time, VERY little has changed. When I asked the doctor to remedy this problem she got defensive and basically stated that there was nothing she could do, we'd have to try again in January. NO WAY, totally mislead! My wife and I heard everything you said Dr. Loomis. You made promises that just weren't accurate. Not sure why you won't do the honorable thing and refund the money at this point. I just don't trust you or your staff and feel bad for others you may dupe in the future. People...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE, do yourself a favor!
When I first arrived at Dr Loomis' office I had pain in all my joints, a painful tongue, and was overweight. Now, the joint pain is gone, the tongue is an order of magnitude better and I've lost 35 pounds. I found Dr Loomis researching integrative medicine, as I was fed up with the level of medical care I was getting from my internist at UCLA, where their highest priority appeared to be ensuring I got a shingles vaccine. Dr Loomis' approach was refreshing. Instead of giving me a pill to make the tongue pain go away, she put me on an elimination diet to remove inflammatory foods and get to the cause of the pain. With the guidance of the nutritionist in the office, Laura, and access to the line of natural products Dr Loomis carries, I turned that initial elimination diet into 35 lbs of weight loss and all the joint pain is gone.
Dr. Loomis is an excellent doctor DO with commendable technical and followup skills. As a patient for over eight years, I would highly recommend her to anyone!
I have been treated by Dr. Loomis for over 10 years. Her staff are professional, kind and courteous. I am seen immediately for all of my appointments, I rarely wait. As for Dr.Loomis she also is very kind and treats me with respect and listens to all of my concerns. Dr. Loomis and her staff work together as a team to treat me not only when I am sick but also to improve my wellness. She is our family physician. She treats my husband as well as my daughter and on occasion my son. I am very grateful to have Dr Loomis as my physician. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Kim Loomis is wonderful!!!! I came to her needing help with multiple medical problems and she took time to listen to them all and to individualize a treatment plan for me. She listened with compassion and is helping me find answers to the root cause, not just " band-aid " with a quick fix . She explained my test results and blood work and answered all my questions. I am feeling better and my body is healing - something that other doctors could not do. Dr. Loomis was recommended by my holistic doctor. She is his PCP. Given the faith and respect I have for my holistic doctor, going to see Dr. Loomis was a no brainer. She has not disappointed. I started seeing her over a year ago after a near death experience in the hospital. She’s followed up on a variety of health issues. It absolutely amazes me as to how knowledgeable she is in so many medical areas. She had me take an obscure breathing test which detected a digestive issue I didn’t even know I had. Within 2 days of taking herbs she recommended, I felt like a new person. She’s excellent at explaining medical issues and GENUINELY cares about my well being. I’ve never had to wait more than 5-10 minutes for my appointment. The office people are awesome; friendly, polite, professional, and efficient. I would definitely recommend Dr. Loomis as a PCP or for any health issue you may have. That’s coming from someone who is not comfortable seeing doctors and avoids them at all costs.
Dr Kim Loomis is a very caring and responsive physician. She listens well to her patients and collaborates with them on treatment plans. She is up to date on various alternative treatments and I appreciate her holistic approach to medical care.Traditional and and holistic medicine are both very important in one’s care. Her office staff is friendly and courteous. Her practice is busy, but runs smoothly. I have been a patient of hers for several years and will continue my health care with her.
I am a little shocked at the two reviews and am wondering if they are deliberate smears. However, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I like Dr. Kim very much and so far have found she really listened to me and my concerns. I believe she quickly has come up with a treatment plan and options that address those concerns and I'm optimistic that I will be feeling better and on the road to healing. I find the front office staff to be friendly, polite, and great to work with.
