This place has declined so fast over the last year. They always have some excuse. Coming from Christmas valley to lapine for a medication they say is ready but it's not after you make drive. Often times have to come back the next day. Also never having basic things on hand. Very frustrating and irritated with this place. Have to get things transferred to bend instead and make an all day event over getting medication. Would not recommend this place to anyone
Drug Mart in La Pine seems to be good. The people are nice and helpful. They acknowlege you when its your turn. They try to help lower the cost if you are paying out of pocket no insurance coverage, and they treat you with respect. I would recommend this pharmacy.
We called and were advised that they would be open at 8.5a Christmas Eve day. After stand in front of a closed building till 8:40a we called and the voicemail was set to also advise opening at 8.5a. After 40 minutes they finally opened the doors at 9:10a. Then they tell me it’s another 45 mins to get filled. Absolutely deplorable customer service. I’m no longer going to patronize Drug Mart. Always a poor experience. There is a Walgreens literally next door. Always you know what to expect from them.
Been going here a couple years and they still cant get it together. My wife was diagnosed with cancer so she needed this numbing cream to use on her skin over the port that was just implanted. It was the night before her first Chemo when we learned about this cream and the doctors office called in the prescription. Of course it needed a preauthorization so we couldnt get the medication until the insurance preauthorized it. However, the people at the pharmacy said we could pick it up at that time and pay cash. Then when the authorization comes through we can just bring in the receipt and get the money refunded. About a week later we noticed the insurance had approved the medication so I went in and asked for a refund. They told us that they hadnt received the preapproval yet so I had to call the insurance. Today I went back to the pharmacy with a copy of the preapproval and they told me that I needed to have gotten the refund within 14 days, but it now had been 17 days so it was too late. They said they could run it through their system so I can request the refund directly from our insurance. So when he did that it showed we had payed for the medication on the 30th but the approval didn't go through until the 31st so the insurance wouldn't reimburse us either. So my wife who is being treated for an aggressive form of lung cancer and both of us are disabled on fixed income. No one at the pharmacy told us any of this. As a matter of fact we were encouraged to pay cash when they knew full well the insurance wouldn't reimburse us if we purchased the medication before the date of the pre authorization. All the 12 year old manager would say is that it wasn't him who told us any of this information. I guess his point was that he didn't care. So just keep in mind that if they screw something up you are going to have a heck of a time getting them to fix it.
The best pharmacy! They really try hard and are very quick to fill prescriptions
I called drug Mart to confirm my prescriptions. The tech assured me that everything was ready to pick up. I've had monthly prescription shortages every month with this company. I went there and, once again, they screwed up my prescriptions!! Told me I would have the remaining items within 20 minutes. Well, twenty minutes came and went so I called them from the parking lot and was told it would be another 20 minutes then put me on hold. Even the hold music is annoying at Drug Mart!! I'm done with these idiots, going to another on drug store!!
I have lived in La Pine for over 20 years and have never had big issues with Drug Mart, but since Walgreens has taken over Bi-Mart pharmacy and everyone has moved there scripts to Drug Mart, they have been screwing up prescriptions and the automated system doesn’t always take the prescription numbers. I called in my husband prescriptions and talked to a human, and 5 days later only 3 were filled and the rest was taking several days to fill. I think they need to expand or put in another pharmacy to help with all these prescriptions, do better Drug Mart. And also have a talk with some of your employees, being rude to the customers isn’t going to cut it.
Great home town pharmacy. Very helpful and professional staff members.
I came into the pharmacy last week and was greeted by Carrie who was so very nice to me and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Rachel was the pharmacist in the office that day and helped me as well. She was very kind and knowledgeable. This is the best pharmacy in town, in my opinion. I like looking at updates and patient information on their website. I look forward to reading the updated information about the staff on the website too. Thanks Drug Mart!
I had an absolutely awful experience with this pharmacy. We had our prescriptions faxed to this pharmacy, so when I arrived, I spoke to the pharmacy clerk asking about our prescriptions that had been faxed over. She insisted that they had not received the prescription, but we told her that we were standing with the medical assistant at the urgent care facility while she spoke to the pharmacy and faxed the prescription over. The clerk went and looked again, and said that the prescriptions were not in the system. We insisted that she look again, and at that point, she said she’d talk to the pharmacist, and then came back and said she had the prescriptions, and would go to fill them. At that time, she took our insurance information and went to fill the prescription. After probably 30 minutes, we pulled around to the window again and asked about our prescription. She said that she had 2 prescriptions for us, and asked for our insurance card again. We told her that there should be 4 prescriptions, and she was very uptight and told us to just give her our insurance card. We told her that we already had, and she said oh, ok, let me go get your other two prescriptions. She was very abrupt, unkind, and rude. She came back and had all 4 prescriptions, but said that it would be an absurdly high amount of money, and when we questioned it, it was only at that time that she shared that they would not take our insurance, so we left. We then went to another pharmacy to ask that they request the prescriptions be transferred from drug mart to the new pharmacy, and after 2 hours and apparently tense conversations between the pharmacies, they still had not sent the prescription over. Some of the problems certainly can be chalked up to people having a bad day and maybe some miscommunication, but this is simply unacceptable customer service and I will avoid this company as best I can.
