The staff was very nice, helpful, and friendly. My daughter had eye surgery and the nurses made sure she was comfortable before and after her surgery. The doctor was also very nice and professional by taking the time to explain what he did during surgery and what steps should be taken to care for her eye. The nurse also provided a meal for not only my daughter, but for me as well.
I was admitted a few weeks ago & I was there for 28 hours. That is the worst experience I ever had at a hospital! They told me horrible things that hurt my heart. I said could you please tell my kids I am doing better & they said nobody's waiting out there for you. I knew that was a lie because my kids took off work to stay with me. Also, I was thirsty & hungry & was only allowed 2 small cups of water the entire time I was there. I am terrified of needles & told the nurses that so they came & shoved an IV in each arm. One had fluids running thru me for the first two hours & every shot they brought in after that, they said it couldn't be done intravenously. The IV in my right arm was never used so why did they put it in? Just to torture me, it was obvious. I have a terrible case of tinnitus & if I am in silence it makes me crazy. They refused to let me have a television or radio to help with the noise in my head but they refused. Why was I denied food, drinks, & a TV? Why were they so rude & tell me my husband & children would be gone when I got out? Out of 7 nurses only 3 were nice, the other 4 should not even have a job dealing with people. East Jefferson used to be my favorite hospital, I had my daughter there. Now East Jefferson is at the bottom of the list.
I don't think I left a review when this happened in 2019 because I had been so sick. East Jefferson hospital ABSOLUTELY SAVED MY LIFE. I had a wound on my arm that became infected. It didn't look that bad & I hate to admit that I'm even a nurse! By the time I got to the E.R. my temperature was almost 103 degrees. I spent almost a week in the hospital, had to have a PICC line inserted because the two powerful antibiotics were too strong for a regular IV. Thank you and God bless the wonderful staff.
I got my mom to the hospital at 3:45 A.M. We got admitted to a room for 4P.M. The only thing that made the unbearable wait a LITTLE less tumultuous and draining was our nurse THOMAS. He was awesome and tho being stretched and pulled in many directions at a time, he did it all while yet remaining to smile and give excellent care to his patients.
Absolutely horrible place!! I have brought a family member there 3 times in the last 4 weeks for the same issue and instead of trying to figure out what is causing a specific issue they are blaming it on Covid that occurred over 4 weeks ago. The health care system has completely gone down and it makes me sad that the elderly have to suffer like this! Shame on this hospital.
Currently been waiting in the ER FOR 3 hours after passing out at work. I’m diabetic & suffer with hypertension I hit my head & shoulder but yet I’m sitting in the waiting room still. The check in nurse didn’t even ask my pain level that’s how much she didn’t care. The back of my head hurts shooting down my spine. I knew I shouldn’t have come here they will let you die waiting & lets not leave out the fact EVERYONE is rude & looks like they hate their jobs
If I didn't have to come here i wouldn't. If I have any thing I ever need done in the future I make m,y promise it will never be here.some of the staff very polite but some of the staff especially the food service workers rude as hell. By far leaps and bounds the worst hospital experience I have ever had. Food selection garbage and taste old and most times has to be warmed it's like a prison system you eat when they say eat like you're in school. I would not recommend this hospital to anyone. Outdated hospital with only the bare essential. Just knock twice as they are turning the knob entering the room that's so rude. The rudest housekeeping and food service I have ever experienced. The therapist and the one guy I had as my nurse was the only bright spot in my stay. The hospital is out dated cheap old furniture closet falling apart. It was like being in a very cheap old motel.
I came in with my fiancee as a transfer from a smaller hospital. We were on the Pulmonary wing. All the Doctors and nurses were great. Nurse Eva was OUTSTANDING. We had a great stay. Nice private room. Free parking. They were relativly free with pain meds. He has a chest tube and may require an additional surgery. In my 50 something year life one of my best hospital experoences. Only draw back is the hospital food leaves a LOT of room for improvement. Everythings pretty much overcooked under spiced. But hey we aint here for the food. Lol. Weve been here about 1 week. Good experience. Exceptional Drs and Caring knowledgable compassionate nurses.
All the staff I met were phenomenal and kind. Everyone introduced themselves to me and thoroughly put me at ease for my same-day procedure. Thank you, East Jeff!
The nurses and drs there WERE the best... What happened... I have never felt more uncared for than my recent visit to ER.... We left after dealing with triage, felt like we were wrong for coming for help, went to the back... Nurse was rude and uncaring...I understand bad days but she was fine with coworkers she even complained the Dr ordered something and we would have to transfer to other side??? When Raymond got upset with treatment and wanted to leave.. she pulled IV and said leave.... New EJGH is the worst at patient care....
