Opened in 1997 by Cheryl Reid O'Hagan, Eastcoast Harpshop's focus is on educating and providing the best choice in harps and teachers in Nova Scotia.
The harps I sell are primarily Dusty Strings, made in Seattle by Ray and Sue Moors who started this thriving and most excellent business from their basement (building dulcimers) in the '70's. Read about them at Dusty Strings Harps & Dulcimers. For beauty of sound and aesthetics these are top of the line but also are very affordable and durable. I have played a DS FH36 since 1990 and still love their delicious sound, beautiful lines and finish work.
I rent the economical Ravenna 26 harp with full levers to beginners.
I take second hand harps on consignment occasionally.
