Ebony Lake Healthcare Center

I highly recommend Ebony Lake Nursing and Rehab Center. The nursing and administrative staff care deeply about their patients and go above and beyond the call of duty for them. They care about their patients, treat everyone with respect and provide the best care possible. Ebony is my first choice when choosing a nursing home for my mom or dad.

This nursing facility has very attendive and caring nursing staff, all staff is friendly and welcoming visitors. Best facility in the Brownsville area.

First day of the transfer from the hospital to this facility, before visitation hours ended came to visit my father and found him on the floor calling for help , I myself called by pressing the button and no one came till after it seemed like an eternity. I’m transferring out ASAP tomorrow. I cannot believe facilities policy of no rails on their beds , something needs to change because the rails would have helped. The service provider s terrible because it seems they are understaffed.

Over 2 years and blessed! I continue to be blessed by the caring dedication of the staff and leadership at Ebony Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Their dedication to the care of our residents is unsurpassed. So many of our residents' loved ones are able to visit regularly and they have become part of our community's family. The smiles on our residents faces, hearing their laughter, singing and fellowship makes it an honor to be serving here. I pray for many more years to come. It's hard to point out just one highly dedicated staff member but I want to especially recognize Martha Garza, Activity Assistant, for spreading love and sunshine to all our residents! I'm new to the facility and I'm so impressed by the dedicated, caring staff. The facility is impeccable, the food delicious and most importantly, the residents are happy and well cared for. The staff and leadership team are so compassionate. What a blessing! It’s been a year and I’ve seen so much excellence in the care and compassion of our team! Most especially I want to recognize Alicia Escobedo, CNA for her dedication to our residents and staff! She truly takes ownership of her role as staffing CNA!

Great facility great staff!! Highly recommend this nursing home for your loved ones. With an incredibly trustworthy staff, the maintenance dept, house keeping, kitchen staff, nursing, rehabilitation team, and respectable management team you couldn’t ask for anything more! My mom needed lots of care and attention and this location gave her just that. The whole crew was attentive and nice and surprisingly, genuinely happy to help. The nurse in charge, Nurse Cristina, went above and beyond her duties to make my mom feel safe and comfortable. I even walked in on them many times having a laugh and conversing about who knows what but it made my mom happy. I will definitely bring my mom to Ebony Lake as long as Nurse Cristina Garza is the one taking care of her! Thank you all!!!!

This has been a great learning experience for me. I have a different perspective of nursing and rehab facilities thanks to Cristina Garza she has been the most caring, compassionate, and sympathetic nurse I have come across. She is not only an outstanding nurse but an advocate for her patients. Pays great attention to detail and does not stop until she gets the best care possible for her patients. I noticed Christina Garza a nurse I know is working in your facility. I'm very happy to say that she is a great asset to your company. She is a very caring and responsible person. It shows she loves her job. She loves helping others and has so much respect for her residents. She does take her job very serious especially when it comes from the heart.

Our experience with Ebony lake was above excellent. They provided my grandmother with excellent service. Everyone is so pleasant but specially nurse Rita Maldonado. She was kind, pleasant, patient and very caring towards my grandmother. She made my grandmother feel at home! Thank you so much Rita for everything you did.
