I have lived here for over 10 years. Overall, good place to live. Location is great, overall environment is good. There are some major issues with plumbing, ventilation, air conditioning and heating, and the actual building structure. Maintenance crew is awesome, they do their best to maintain the apartments. The complex could use a good makeover, especially in the older apartments. Considering what they charge for rent and the yearly rent increases, plus the charge to use the pool in summer, does not add up to be the best choice for renting. I have stayed here this long mainly for the convenience of location between work and school, but it has been challenging to keep up the last 3 years. Once something else opens up that matches the convenience we need, moving won't be an issue.
Maintenance is VERY fast. I’ve put in 2 work orders and had someone fix them the following morning. Biggest issues with this complex are the location, occasional parking issues, and difficulty initially reaching leasing office. Apartment is gorgeous inside, and rent is very reasonable for the space. Overall pretty good place to live, as long as you don’t mind being right between two highways
I enjoy the fact that my apartment is very bright and gets a lot of sun. The parking is a problem at times and the children can be trying at times. I think before parents let small children out on bikes they should be taught how to ride safely not put the full responsibility on the drivers. I feel the rent for new tenants is too high and then you add water fees to the mix. I haven't had any problems with maintenance. If I call they're pretty quick at responding. Whomever thought the decorative rocks was a good idea evidently don't live here or never took into consideration of children's interests in throwing them around.
Comfortable first apartment, plenty of parking and a decent place to live. I have had issues getting maintenance done but it was always an issue with the management company and the process of requesting maintenance as you do not speak to the guys who do the actual work. No way to communicate with them at all, it is all through management. However, they always do a good job and are very helpful.
NEW review: I generally don't comeback and write a new review for anyone, but today I really had a "WOW" moment at Edison Woods Apartments. I had some issue in washroom, and within 15 min of logging the issue only, I got a call from the maintenance department and the issue got resolved within an hour. In my previous apartments minimum turn around time used to be minimum 2 days, I am really glad. Rick is really a great guy !!! ____________________________________________________ OLD review: I have come to the apartments very recently and my first week has been horrible so far. Washing machine stopped working the very first time we tried using it and cloths got stuck in it. We raised the maintenance request but maintenance guy came after 4 days 2 business days. Clothes got stinky. He fixed it, but the moment he left, it stopped working again. My wife is depressed because of this. Initial enrollment process however was very smooth, Thanks to Rick.
This apartment complex is the best in Edison, just because of the Maintenance staff ,Specially I would mention Mr.Rolly ,the best maintenance crew member, always with a smile and no matter how big or small the issue , no matter what time, which day, he never fail to resolve the issue ASAP, we been living here more than 4 years Building #6 -605 I cannot thank enough the staff. I will recommend this place to any one and everyone.
I currently live here and have a raccoon in my attic. Maintenance is so difficult to get in contact with and when you finally get someone on the phone it’s always the same thing I will put in a work order. Nobody is doing anything about this issue. This all started on May 2nd. The raccoon wakes me up in the middle of the night it sounds like it’s going to come through my ceiling. Pest control won’t put a cage in my attic and only outside which hasn’t done anything. I’ve searched raccoon cages and they can fit in the attic so I’m not sure why one can’t be placed there. When pest control was here they sent photos of the holes to the super and they haven’t done anything about it. Maintenance actually closed my work order and said it was completed. I had to call them again and tell them it was never completed and the super has photos of the holes and I still have an animal up there. You can see the soffit missing if you just drive by it’s clear as day it’s completely gone. The raccoon is doing damage in the attic as they are making noise over my vent and I’m afraid I won’t have ac soon or they will break the vent and I’ll see a head sticking out. I need help and I am not able to get anyone to help me.
This is a very good community with washer and dryer facilities within the apartment. However, it does not have good walking path, Play area suitable for teens and well maintained Kids play area.
Roli was lovely and very professional- it took 2or 3 tries to find a time I was here - because apparently the company that came to clean the dryer vent , put in a work order without my knowledge which meant I wasn’t aware to give consent to enter the apartment - which I always do because I am working Thanks!
Lived there for 5 years. Insulation needs updating. If you live in an upper floor the air conditioning runs constantly in the summer. The heat worked well. When our washing machine broke, they replaced it with a new one. The bathrooms need updating. The tile floors are original.i lived in an end building and the parking was abundant. Loved my balcony. So good neighbors and its quiet place
