Love this place. Best queso ever! Try the Sizzling Chicken Salad! OMG!!! SO GOOD!!!

If I could give El Chico flower mound 10 stars, I would. We were seated immediately. Our server arrived in 2 minutes, took our order, and our food arrived in about 10 minutes, hot and extremely delicious!!! Our waiter Emilio was amazing, so courteous and efficient. Never have I had such a positive dining out experience. Go there for great food !!!

I usually order the same thing at Tex-Mex restaurants, tortilla soup and brisket taco. I have to say the soup and taco I had at El Chico were the best I've had. The soup is heartier and richer than most places serve and the taco tasted lighter and less greasy than others. I liked the sauce and toppings that were on the taco. Our server was attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back!

Consistent good food. We just moved out of the area, but when we lived here it was our favorite regular restaurant. One of our sons still lives here so we eat at El Chico’s when we visit. The chips and salsa is good. I always ordered the beef fajitas. My wife tries different things on the menu and is always happy with her meal. We always ask for Felipe as our servers. We are not the only ones so he gets busy, but he is like a friend to us and his service is great.

Ordered two crispy tacos with a side of beans and rice. The rice was surprisingly very tasty, the tacos were basic run of the mill style..Nothing too special, the beans however were nasty. One bite and I nearly spit them out. Service was slow and we could never seem to get our waiter to show up at our table and had to flag down other waiters for refills. So many better Mexican chains than this one. Pass.

Great food ! Employees are attentive. Owner needs to replace carpet or have it professionally cleaned with scented chemicals and deodorizing. Will change review to 5 stars once this is completed ! UPDATE : Carpet has been cleaned ! Review updated ! UPDATE : 05-23-2019 Why don't you get your air conditioner fixed ? No one wants to eat their dinner while they are sweating to death !

I love this restaurant when I went on my birthday the day after christmaswas the first time in 10 years I've ever had bad service, even though they were not busy that was sad but anyways the food is always great and hot and they will fix it no problem if it's wrong; which it's normally not. The service is fast and pleasant. Tex-mex is my favorite food and this is the place to go. Excellent priced food, big plates.

Been going here for years, but used to have a female manager who ran it better. Male manager now and not near as good as it used to be. Went recently. Service was slow, no lime with my Corona, had to ask for silverware, took too long to get our drinks, beans were undercooked, enchiladas were bland. Was hardly no one in the restaurant and service was still slow.

Staff was attentive and the new manager was nice, but the food... We thought that they might have improved recipes over the years, but no. Poppers were full of dry chicken and flavorless and the enchiladas still have Hormel's-style canned chili on them. Will not be back.

Horrible!! They claim to have a gluten free menu but offer next to nothing thats safe to eat. Waitress couldn't answer my questions about the menu and the manager refused to come to our table. Ordered a drink and it tasted horrible recommended by server. Sent it back. We were finished eating and she still hadn't brought the replacement. I asked that she just remove from the bill and her response was, " you mean you don't still want it?? Food was not good and certainly not worth what we put up with. Tack on top of all that, it's very pricey for Mexican food. Won't go back.
