We had veggie enchiladas and veggie quesadilla- it was the best we have had in a long time. Loved the rice and beans as well!
Service was extremely poor, the server literally jus asked do you want something to drink, are you ready to order, as we sat down it was like he didn't want to be there. The food was good came out in a timely manner and the drinks where superb.
We have come here several times and always had issues with our takeout orders but the food was always pretty good. Today we ordered takeout after my best friend drove 5 hours to come visit, and we were surprised with this little guy in her food. After going back to the restaurant, they refused to let us get any money back, but did make a new one for us. The issue was too disgusting to be handled in the manner it was. I have worked in restaurants and understand that situations can be difficult to handle sometimes, however, a roach in your food is a completely different story.
A shame. We have been to this restaurant on and off for over 15 years. The service and food had always been great however, the last 3 - 4 times we have visited recently have been lackluster service and much higher prices and slower food arrival even when the tables are not full. After the first time we thought they were just having an off night, then we figured it was a new waiter but no. Not on their game and they don’t seem to care about customer service. Bummer. Time to explore one of the many other Mexican restaurants in the area.
This is White American version of Mexican Food. Not authentic at all. The staff could use some changes to get people who can actually wait on people. People dine out too for the experience. We will not return. We ended up not even taking home goodie bags because the food was just not good to take home and deserve a round two with a late night movie. Sorry. But we are sticking to people who cook like la Raza!!!!
Have to give a mixed review, the food was good, severed fast, but the cleanliness of the place was atrocious... Floors were sticky the bathroom reeked of urine, with the floor covered in it. It has just opened so they couldn't blame a customer.
Yea. So. Halfway through my quesadilla I found a bug. Like I thought it might have just been a one time thing. I understand things can happen. But after looking at reviews, I see that this has happened at least once before. I don’t really see this as acceptable but the dilla was ok until I saw the little guy in there.
Everything was good I used to really enjoy everything there but now it's more about quantity instead of quality now. It had been along time since I have had a chance to go back into El Potrillo I used to go at least twice a month and the food,drinks, and service was great but now it's just good. Definitely not worth me spending the little money I have and I hardly ever get out of my house. So I wish I would have taken the time to go somewhere I would have really enjoyed one of the few times a year I get out now. Next time I'll keep heading towards 400 till I get to my favorite little spot. T.T.
Another customer complained that there was a "cockroach" in his food. I stayed anyway. I ordered cheese dip, which never came. My street tacos also were not correct. I won't return!Food: 3/5
Good portions on the street tacos, and queso was delicious, but the service was lackluster. Had to ask for things several times and some waiters had a language barrier. Didn't even get seated with silverware or menus, nor was the table wiped down.
