Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa

I loved this hotel! The plantings and flowers at the entrance reminded me of Orlando, Florida--lovely. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they seemed genuinely happy to be at work. Our corner room was clean and gorgeous and the bed was very cozy. The breakfast was very nice and the sponge cake we enjoyed one late evening with cocktails was superb. Great job, Mystic Marriott!

Great stay at the Mystic Marriott, hotel and spa. I was a little reluctant before staying there, having read a few negative reviews, but my stay was extremely pleasant. The staff was very helpful and introduced all the hotel amenities to us. The rooms were modern, clean and well equipped. The indoor pool is also good for some winter time fun. the breakfast buffet at the octagon restaurant is very diverse and filling.

Hotel was very modern and nice, room was a good size. Things that disappointed us was that our room was very dusty, our towels were damp and the pictures show a hot tub by the pool but it is not there. Front desk said it was removed but they haven’t updated pictures. However the staff was very friendly and the restaurant food is delicious. We got a deal on travel zoo so for the price we were satisfied but had we paid full price we would not be as happy.

Beautiful hotel! Modern lobby, nicely sized clean rooms but what stood out the most was how excellent their front desk staff was. Where do we start….check-in was an issue. Paid through Priceline and was asked to use our card again for incidentals and charged us an additional 2 night stay that we weren’t even staying! Starbucks in lobby does not accept Starbucks gift cards or app rewards which is totally bizarre. There is no jacuzzi. Our first night was decent however when we left in the morning, we asked for our room to be cleaned at 905 am…the main desk said “absolutely” and when we returned at 230 in the afternoon, our room had yet to be touched. We were told it would be another 45 minutes. We waited in the lobby, which was over crowded and filled with people trying to check in. The hotel is overall nice and the rooms are decent and clean. For the size of it, it lacks amenities things to do. The breakfast is lacking in the morning. There should be more options for lunch and the pool should be much bigger. To top off our stay, after sleeping soundly on the second night, I woke up to use the bathroom quickly, only to have my toilet overflow onto the floor. Called the front desk. Was told the plumber was not on premise and was home sick and there was nothing much they could do other than bring a plunger and some towels. One plumber for an entire hotel?! Unfortunately, next time in Mystic, we will not be staying at the Marriott.

This is an upscale feeling hotel that features good service and clean rooms. We would return. This is probably more of a business hotel than a tourist hotel. There did not seem to be much around it for casual dining or sightseeing. But note, it's comfortably close to all of the sights and historic goodness of Mystic CT. we stayed in a number of Marriott properties during a recent New England tour and they were almost all good. This one is above average.

We were driving by and stopped looking for a bathroom. They treated us with such respect, I cannot imagine what starting here must be like. Looked like a great modern hotel with many amenities, beautiful building and great customer service. If you are looking for a place to stay in the area, I'm sure you'll have a great time here.

Hotel was really nice, very clean, modern, somewhat upscale. Only stayed one night so I didn't experience too much of what it had to offer as far as spa, restaurant etc. Bed was very comfortable and nice big TV. Only complaint was the rooms weren't very sound proof, I felt like I could hear every door in the hall closing which did make it kind of hard to relax / fall asleep. Also no fan in the bathroom which we found odd?

Nice hotel, not to big, with excellent steak house inside. Located just right - off from busy streets, but close to everything. Friendly stuff, modern interior, great gym and pool. Perfect "weekend stay" place.Rooms: 5/5
