Very nice hotel which could use a good paint job and new carpet in the rooms and hallways. Great breakfast which features a omelet station. Nice free happy hour. Hotel staff was very nice and friendly. Here's some things one needs to be aware of if staying at this hotel. In addition to the new carpet and badly needed and the paint job, the rooms are nice and spacious but had that very damp/moldy smell. It wasn't just my room but a friend had the same issue with his room. Other than that no other complains.
Upon check-in I wasn’t acknowledged that I am a Hilton Honors Gold Member. I reserved a lake view room with a balcony, yet I was given a renovated room in the back of hotel. I told the front desk clerk that reserved a lake view room and that’s what I want please and she gave it to me. Other than than that our stay was a good stay. Beware of the breakfast set up because the dining area is being renovated, they have it setup in one of the meeting rooms. It’s not great but it’ll do until renovations is completed. The breakfast fare was okay, it could be better if they would’ve offered grits and Turkey sausage they only offered pork sausage. The omelets they offered were average at best. Our stay was good and quiet, there are many eating and entertainment options in the area which makes this hotel location, very central to many options & opportunities. The hotel overlooks the Crane Roost Park surrounding Crane Roost Lake both very nice to explore and enjoy. We’ve stayed here a number of times over the years and we’ll stay here again, just a few things they need to do to tweak the place and make it an even better place to stay!
Other than some mold/mildew in the bathroom, the room was wonderful. I sleep in the day and it was quiet and the curtains kept the room dark. The breakfasts were outstanding, especially the made to order omelets. I loved the restaurant in the lobby. I ate there all 4 days and all the meals were tasty. I would definitely go again and recommend the place to friends and family.
I would have given them 5 stars because they fixed why I gave the 4 stars. But it happened so I want to be honest. We arrived early in the morning and I informed the front desk staff that I was traveling on business and I had documentation for my discount. She would not honor it. And she told me that if I booked for my entire stay it would be at the full price and not at my travel rate. The next morning I informed the current person on staff and she was freaking awesome she fixed my initial booking and gave me the travel rate I was suppose to get. She gets 5 stars all day every day. Rooms: Rooms were a little dated but ok. Wasn't quite sure why the room had 3 sinks. 1 in the bedroom 1 in the living room and 1 of course in the bathroom. They charge extra for a balcony room but the balcony doesn't open.
We really loved our stay at Embassy Suites. The rooms are very comfortable and it's very close to everything we wanted to do. We love being right on the lake, and the boardwalk is exceptional. We stay here primarily because they are dog-friendly. Our dogs loved watching the water birds - ducks, egrets, geese. Thanks for a great experience!
UPDATED REVIEW. moved to 4 stars but ask for a renovated room!! We had multiple issues with the room and experience so a manager moved us to a renovated room on the other side of the building. I can excuse the dust because the room is so much brighter and more modern. Check in was fine. The building is under renovation, would be nice to note prior to reserving a room. The room itself smells old old old. The ceiling in the bathroom is maybe 6ft high and falling in. The evening reception is not so great, the glasses were dirty and options very limited, bottom shelf. Chips and salsa. Not what it used to be for sure. Location so far seems close to dining and fun. The restaurant at the hotel is stale!!
This hotel is probably beyond needing a facelift, which some parts are in process of currently yes there is construction noise in the atrium. Our room was in extremely poor shape - the bathroom faucet hardware was installed backwards, the bathroom sink leaked under the cabinet, the living room ceiling sprung a goiter overnight and there was already significant water damage in various spots of the ceiling. The safe was had a low battery so we didn’t use it. The coffee machine in room did not work properly. Getting coffee downstairs one minute after breakfast closed was impossible as I was told there simply wasn’t anymore to be had. Housekeeping started banging at 830am despite my husband being Diamond status with late checkout. He also wasn’t greeted as a diamond member when we checked in, which isn’t the end of the world but it is nice when you travel as much as he does. Staff was generally fine but this hotel is exceptionally dated and in need of serious repairs. We will not stay again and this will likely be his last time booking any embassy suites period. As a follow-up, I tried to call the day we checked out to report the maintenance issues on the room and never reached anyone. It rang for multiple minutes and then ultimately disconnected me. Room 222 for reference in relation to the maintenance issues.
We always stay at the embassy suites and this one was probably the worst one we’ve stay at. Employees were great and nice but the hotel was very out dated, our room was not clean. The A/C did not work, it said it was on 65 but felt like 75. It was very humid in our room. When it rained the carpet in the room by the window got soaking wet. My son slept on the pull out bed and the bed was VERY uncomfortable, no padding what so ever. He said he just felt the springs in the bed. The staffed fixed the bed by bringing a pillow topper but that should not be necessary. The buffet breakfast was good but I wish the happy hour was at least til 8. We always missed the happy hour because we were at the baseball fields for my son’s tournament. At the end of our week long stay there was a huge group of people that came to stay and they took up every single seat in the lobby during breakfast time. Nobody else had a place to sit during breakfast, they were not even eating so I found that annoying that we had to sit without a table to eat our breakfast. Overall very disappointed in this embassy stay.
I enjoyed my stay at the Embassy Suites. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Customer service provided by Dani was Super. Dani was professional and friendly and made me feel like a valuable customer. The view of the Cranes Roost Park is Beautiful. I enjoyed walking around the lake every morning before I enjoyed my custom made omelets. Thank you!
This hotel is definitely dated. It could be a nice place if it were updated. The rooms need a make over big time. The cleaning service does not pay attention to detail because around the sinks were dirty when wet got there. The carpets smelled wet and dirty. The fixtures are old and outdated. The windows were dirty. The bathtub didn't drain. The furniture did not match and was old and dirty as well. The pool area was closed when we stayed there which was disappointing. This hotel is located by a nice board walk on a lake and very close to a shopping mall and food. Anyway.... it could be a great place. Hopefully, it's renovated soon.
