I have been going to this office for 1.5 years for Graves’ disease. Dr Chandana Mishra and her NP-C Theresa Frimel are EXCELLENT! They have helped me tremendously manage my disease. Theresa spends quality time during appointments and addresses all questions. I have never felt rushed. She’s kind and compassionate. Dr Mishra has done a thyroid nodule biopsy and it was almost painless. The nurse explained everything before the test, then Dr Mishra came in and explained everything again. Dr Mishra compassionately talked through each step during the procedure. I have anxiety and felt completely at ease and in good hands. She’s good! Of course this is a busy office and it might take a few days to return phone calls, which is absolutely normal. The front staff have always been efficient and kind. I would definitely recommend Dr Misha for thyroid disorders. She is kind, compassionate, excellent bedside manner, and highly skilled.
I imagine wait times in the office are higher than average because the quality of care is exceptional. Dr. Mishra and her attending staff are personable and quick; quite the opposite of what reviews I read here. They’re thorough and don’t over-treat or under-treat like other practices I’ve been to for thyroid disorder.
Was "fired" by Dr Mishra for having a PTSD trigger at an appt. I am a disabled veteran, battling ptsd. The appt time was changed the day prior, via voice-mail, that we never received. So when I show up at the "wrong" time, I was blamed for not checking my vm. I started to go into a trigger due to the way I was being talked AT, and asked for a room to do my coping techniques in private, away from full waiting room staring/and for my safety. They refused until my husband demanded kindly, as I was out front scared for my life remember, ptsd, still being gawked at thru the glass. After getting into a room, the office manager comes in and blames me/us, and "how dare you get upset! *****the PA, was in a car accident yesterday! That is very selfish of you!", not joking, she said this. Which only hurt me more and I walked out of there crying and at that point freaking out. A week or 2 later we get the letter dismissing me as a patient. ABSOLUTE DISCRIMINATION!! Let me tell you, if I had it in me, I would've sued them! But I chose to focus my energy on fighting for my life instead. STAY AWAY for SEVERAL reasons. ADA exists for a reason and they are lucky I have moved on. Just wanted to share, because, it is disgusting.
Make sure ALL insurance info complete and accurate. Customers go through a nightmare correcting their mistakes. Don't bother calling for appointment info etc....they do not have enough staff to handle calls. You will be on hold for an infinite amount of time.
Dr Mishra and her staff have helped me tremendously over the past 15 years or more. They keep my thyroid so optimal and always check my vitamin D too. I've referred others to her and they have said the same. She has me on levothyroxine and armour thyroid. I have Hoshimotos Thyroiditis autoimmune thyroid disease. I'm a fitness professional and greatful for good sleep, energy, and overall health.she has
I have never seen anything like Dr. Mishra. I made an appointment because she was supposed to be an expert for my Thyroids problem. Dr. Mishra saw me for 2 minutes. She sent her assistance Kelsey, Perfect to ask questions about my health before she saw me. I just got the bill. Her assistance spent 5 mins asking questions why I came to the office. She charged $330 for that. I have never made appointment with her - just Dr. Mishra. Then after short conversation, Dr Mishra said that I need specific medication without seeing my blood results. As a matter of fact she never seen me before but prescribed drugs. I couldn't believe it. She charged $245 for that. After I've done my blood test I went to another Doctor who confirmed Dr. Mishra gave me wrong medication. Well done Dr. Mishra!
Good Doctor with Lousy Office Staff. Doc wanted to see me back in a month with time-critical results -- the earliest available appointment was in 3 months. Their voicemail phone system leaves messages that are so garbled that one can't understand them. The office called me several times the day after I was there to make a first appointment and schedule tests -- they didn't know that I had just been there the day before. They seem to be in a perpetual state of confusion. Getting test results is impossible so far I call daily because I'm a glutton for punishment, apparently. The bathroom was a mess. The water dispenser didn't work. There are lots of staff there -- mostly talking to each other. Waited 10 mins to check out while the staff member at the desk prolonged a personal phone call as three patients stood there waiting to check out.
Probably the worst experience I have had with a Dr. office. I would not suggest it at all. There are many around the area to choose from. It is not a good feeling when they tell me they don't have time for me, or to make a phone call. I was also told that I am not being fair by quoting reviews, because the bad ones are from people that don’t pay their bills....hummmm it seemed that no matter what was said they have done nothing wrong, have excuses, nor do they own up to their mistakes. Never an apology nor was I asked how to make my experience better, instead the last statement before she hung up on me was “I will tell they you are going else where”. My bills are paid by the way!
She Has a very bad bedside manner and treats you like another number. Everything is black and white and has no sensitivity to what the patient is experiencing. Has no interest in patient besides what is their numbers on paper. Definitely don’t recommend her as a doctor. She also speaks to you in a dismissive way. And this was my first and will be my last visit just for those reasons.
Avoid this "specialist" if at all possible! My experience was similar to many to the one- or two-star reviews. I was referred by my old PCP to this doctor at her Chandler offices but chose to post here. I was on the receiving end of the abusive actions and confrontational attitude for my diabetes treatment. She insulted my attempts at management of my disease. She physically accosted me by yanking my shirt up and grabbing at my abdomen with both hands while berating me about the fat there. When it came time for referral to her dietician for nutrition counseling, the appointments were not honored as the nutritionist failed to appear for two appointments - yet the front desk refused to return the $50 copay each time. The doctor pressured me into allowing insulin injections under the guise of "education" - and the office charged excessive fees in the on-site lab. After six weeks of this nonsense I stopped my appointments. My insurance recently changed and who does my *NEW* PCP refer me to? DR. MISHRA! Reviewers, *THANK YOU* for your posts! I am reassured by these comments that my experiences with this doctor and her practice was NOT a fluke and that others had similarly unpleasant experiences at the hands of this "professional"!! A BULLET DODGED!!!
