The East Tennessee State University Geosciences Club is a group of ETSU students who share a passion for nature! You don’t have to be a geosciences major to join us. We go caving, hiking, boating, biking, and fossil/rock/mineral collecting throughout the year, go to rock and mineral shows, attend GSA and AGU meetings, and throw awesome parties to celebrate holidays and the end of each semester!
Your membership is only $20 for the year and includes your club t-shirt, free or discounted admission to all events, free pizza and drinks at all club meetings, and free food and prizes at our parties! Being a part of this club will look great on your resume, either for a job in the field or for grad school!
The East Tennessee State University Geosciences Club is a student organization that provides its members with educational and recreational opportunities that focus on the geography, geology, and paleontology of the Tri-Cities Region. The club is open to ETSU students of any major who are interested in exploring and learning about the natural world. Participation in club events benefits members by providing opportunities for education, personal development, fellowship, and service, while cultivating a passion for the wonders of nature. The purpose of this organization is to provide and support geoscience activities at ETSU and in the community at large. Providing opportunities to learn and commune in a fun, outdoor environment gives members the tools they need in order to become better geoscientists and stewards of our environment.
