Love this place. Use to go here all the time. For all my fish needs. Then got sugar gliders, and got everything I needed here. Well decided to get back into the fish. This is where I be coming. Best place to come. Super nice staff and owners. Will help you make all your decisions safely. Update 75 gal. Tank setup and going great. 4 weeks in and get new fish weekly. Can't wait soon I will have my ghost knife fish. UPDATE: Love my tanks, now I have 3 tanks got another tank today this one is for frogs. Love all my tanks...
SUPER friendly and knowledgeable staff that always takes the time to make you feel welcome and understand what you're looking for in order to make a proper recommendation. Willing to do water tests & help you build a proper fishtank environment, even for those of us when have no idea how that to stuff works! My daughter absolutely loves visiting!
Great shop! Kept very clean and has a great selection of freshwater fish. All fish I have purchased have been free of disease. Also a great place to pickup fish supplies.
One of my absolute favorite places to visit. Even if I'm not in the market to buy anything, I love checking out the new fish they get in. The owner is very helpful when I am looking to buy a new fish, and the rest staff is always very nice. I'm just glad I found this place and decided to check it out. This is definitely on my top 10 places in Cookeville, probably even the top 3.
The staff is always friendly and they have some awesome prices on koi. You can tell It’s not just a job to them, they actually care and have a passion for animals. I’ll spend my money here before anywhere else in town.
The store is clean, the fish are healthy and the tanks look beautiful. Everyone is always so helpful and prompt to ask if you need assistance.
This is a place that has been open in my hometown my entire life, and with good reason! Their expertise is like no other pet store! Not to mention Dawn who is the saltwater expert and the owner I believe as well as all of the stuff I have met takes the time to answer your questions They are patient with newbies to the salt water hobby and take the time to answer any questions you have. Instead of just trying to sell you a bunch of stuff that you may not need at the time, they give you the answers you're looking for whether it means they're making a sale or not after spending countless hours online I love going there because I know instead of seeing a lot of conflicting information and being confused I will get a straight answer and leave knowing exactly what I need to do to continue my newfound reef addiction. If you go there one time you will never go to another commercial pet store.
Exotic Tropicals is the best! The staff is so helpful and always nice. Ive always liked to drop by and see their pet selection. They always have a nice selection of fish and snakes. Ever since my daughter got her corn snake we only shop at Exotic Tropicals. After researching other pet supply stores in the area you can not beat Exotic Tropicals prices. The staff is also great to answer any questions you might have about taking care of your pet. Thank you Exotic Tropicals for serving our community
Family owned business that’s been in Cookeville forever. The staff are knowledgeable and the prices competitive. I typically have better luck with fish being healthier when bought here than PetSmart/Petco.
I love this pet store over any of the other ones. I keep small animals often and I bought 2 female guinea pigs from a petco in cookeville and they were extremely skittish they still are and no matter how much I train them they just won’t but about a year ago I started buying small animals from this place and they are awesome. You can tell they are handled often and treated well. I bought 2 mice recently from there and they are doing awesome! They were tamed before I bought them they will literally just walk into your hand. Also have some very cool fish and they look/seem very very healthy. This is much much better then places like petco. And the owner has been there every time I go and seems to be a very hard working man. Highly recommend.
