I came in for cold and white patches on my tonsils.I called around 8am this morning and spoke the nurse team the first ring! There are many viruses going around and it seems like everyone is sick. I came in around 9:15am. I was taken out back in less than 5 minutes!!! The family ahead of me, said she had a family of 3 and all of them were in and out in less than an hour! The strep swab takes 7 minutes. The people in this office are rockin today!!! Provider was great. The vibes from staff are cheery and sweet. Happy I chose waterville mg express care!
I’m in the area from out of state and had to have some medical intervention. When you go somewhere that they don’t know your history, although you know perfectly well what needs to be done, sometimes medical personnel don’t want to hear what you have to say. Mallory was so amazing! She said, yes, you have asthma, you know what you’re talking about, and what you need. What a relief! I was floored! Thank you, Mallory, for being so in tune with what your patients tell you!
My husband went in with a horrible rash for having come in contact with brown tail Is Caterpillars hair. It was getting really out of control. Rash was spreading and swelling do a severe reaction. So he needed to be seen right away and he was . This was the second time in the last 2 years that he came in contact with those stupid Caterpillars. The doctors were very helpful and advised the next time he came in contact with these crazy Caterpillars that he should use duck tape right away it helps pull them out to help avoid the reactions. Or at least a smaller reaction. They all were very kind and for as many people who were at urgent care it was fairly fast.
The receptionists at the front desk are extremely rude. The doctors are extremely slow and they all seem to have an attitude which they take out on the patients. You're better off just waiting until you can see your regular doctor or just going to the emergency room. Also, they require that you wear masks but some of them are not wearing masks. It just further shows that they do not care about your health and safety. They just want to feel like they are important when they are not.
I went there with throat pain, the doctor was very friendly and professional. She took the time to look into my concerns rather than brushing me off like most do. Their receptionist was very friendly and helpful as well! Remember, they've been on the front lines of this pandemic, they are human. Give them a break.
PA Soucy and staff were excellent! I had not made an appointment in advance but they had no problem working me in to the schedule. I only waited about 30 minutes. They were conscientious in their dealing with me regarding COVID and asked me to wait in my vehicle until it was time to come in. Once inside, they took my symptoms seriously, and went the extra mile to make sure I was getting what I needed. Special shout out to PA Soucy, and if you read these reviews, please know that I have an appointment with my PCP on Monday to follow up. Thank you!
Very unprofessional and rude. The first time I went there for a open lesion and I was told it was an “ingrown hair” and to leave it be. A few days later the spot had multiplied and gotten bigger and deeper. I went to my actual doctors and was told I have a bacterial infection and needed medication to get rid of it. Now I have multiple scars when it could’ve just been one. Fast forward a few months, my boyfriend cut his hand open and was very light headed and woozy. They treated us like children and gave me an attitude for asking questions I would not know otherwise. I would not waste your time coming here, especially if they can’t diagnose properly or treat patients with any kind of respect.
Please please please....if you put a patient in a room and you tell them it wont be long....an hour later no one has come in to check on you. Have the courtesy to tell the patient what is taking so long...at least communicate!
This place is advertised as an "urgent care", my daughter is a college student from NH at a Maine campus and it was the nearest urgent care to her when she needed treatment. She was told upon check in that they were an urgent care. Urgent care are covered with a $50 copay on our insurance plan so she went ahead and got treated. They billed the insurance for a regular office visit as if she'd gone there as a regular patient with an appointment to see a doctor. The insurance refused to pay and she was billed $522. When we contacted MaineGeneral Express Care and our insurance by phone, MaineGeneral apologized and told our insurance company on a recorded line that they would send out an amended bill with the correct codes for an urgent care visit and our insurance said as soon as they'd get it, they would take care of it. Weeks later my daughter got another bill threatening collection. We called again and now MaineGeneral claim they are "not" an "urgent" care facility but an "express care", despite saying on the last call recorded by the insurance company that they were and that they never sent out an amended bill and would not be doing so. The insurance company say they cannot pay without the amended bill and would file a complaint and in the meantime MaineGeneral agreed that the bill would be put on hold until a resolution was reached with the insurance company. Today my daughter received a notice from a bill collection agency. We are furious. MaineGeneral Express Care already admitted they are an urgent care to Cigna, if you look them up online, they are listed as an urgent care on google and on the urgent care search sites. They told my husband on his first call they are an urgent care and my daughter when she visited them. All they needed to do was send an amended bill to get paid but instead they chose to send a bill that the insurance company told them they were happy to pay to collections. Absolutely ridiculous.
I'd never been to a walk in/express care facility before and was hesitant to go. After my primary care physician left the area, I was left in a bind and decided to give it a try when I needed it most. The staff was extremely helpful and caring and I was surprised at how quickly I was in and out of there less than an hour. They offered to call my antibiotics into my choice of pharmacy, and they must have done so, right away...they were ready when I got there! Highly recommend MaineGeneral Express Care!
