Maine General Hospital-Seton

I had surgery this past week at Maine General and the staff was amazing! Nurses Tammy and Pat in the pre-op area werd great. They made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. They offered me a snack and coffee after the procedure. These are nurses, not waitresses. This is so far above and beyond what they are supposed to do it is amazing. They used lidocaine spray before starting my IV to help lessen the pain. They made sure I had enough blankets and offered to dim the lights. They kept me updated on everything that was going to happen. People complain so much about the healthcare system and their care anymore, but so much is beyond everyone's control. Take the time to appreciate the efforts of the individuals actually bending over backwards to care for you at your most vulnerable. I know there were others that took care of me. The nurse in the recovery room that was right there when I woke up and reoriented me to where I was and what was going on. She went back and got my glasses for me so I could see. I wish I remembered her name, but I was still out of it. I would definitely have surgery at this hospital again. These are good people.

I had a horrible surgery experience with rude nurses and doctors that do not care at all! Left with a huge bill and scars with nothing to show for it except huge debt.

THIS in NOT the location of Thayer Hospital. It is on North Street in Waterville. This is the OLD Seton Hospital that has been closed for years!
