My check in online and in person was a pleasant experience. Also all of my test conducted by the staff prior to seeing the doctor were expertly done and well documented. My doctor and I were both pleased that my results were so well done and our visit was brief but thorough and effective. The people at this practice have made magnificent progress treating my eye in the last few years following a serious case of shingles in my face.
Easy process to do paperwork in advance of my appointment. Simple check in with the kiosk. Very friendly and caring staff. While it was my 1st eye exam in 20+ years, I will not hesitate to come back and see Dr. Nguyen and her colleagues next time I have eye exam needs.
I called and asked if they offered Strabismus surgery. I told them I wanted to make an appointment. The young lady that answered the phone had no clue what I was talking about. She then asked someone else. When she returned she said she was not allowed to answer the question and only a doctor was allowed too! I clarified my question only to confuse her more. I wouldn’t feel comfortable being seen here! Pretty sad to be honest!
I recently visited the Eye Doctors of Washington for my LASIK procedure and I couldn't be happier. I was paired up with Dr. Fathy who was professional, detailed and patient with all of my questions. The follow up by the staff and Dr. Fathy made me feel comfortable and important to them after the procedure. I am 4 weeks out and my vision is 20/20! I would recommend Dr. Fathy and Eye Doctors of Washington to anyone interested in better vision and a more comfortable life without contacts!
Posting on behalf of my Mom, Flo, who was there for her appointment. Everyone was very friendly & nice. And her exam was certainly thorough. She was very happy w/the experience. She needs to go for surgery & was promised that she would hear w/in 48 hours about an appointment; but that has come & gone. In trying to call to follow up you cannot get through, only get the usual recorded message about the high number of calls. That is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5. She'd really like to get that surgery scheduled so that she can see properly again.
The practice was professional yet friendly. I had used another facility further away and decided to change because parking was a challenge and making appointments was almost impossible. It was a difficult decision because I had been going there for ten years. Eye doctors was a wonderful relief. Plenty of parking, ten minutes from my house, All the latest technologies and treatments. All the employees were very friendly and good at their jobs. The ophthalmologist I saw was knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. He took his time to explain everything about my eye condition, and possible procedures in the future. I even have my next appointment scheduled. For those older than 65, they take Medicare.
They mixed up the doctor I was supposed to see. Thus, after the initial meeting with the PA, I cooled my heels for about an hour and a half until the wrong doctor walked in and introduced himself. Then was shuttled to another room to wait another 10-15 mins. However, initial meeting with Brianna was great. She took us in right away my wife and I were 30 minutes early for my 8:40 appointment and answered all my questions. Dr. Mayer was also very informative and friendly when we finally got in to see him. So providers get 5 stars and back office gets 1. That averages to 3. Follow up appointment after surgery was far better. No wait. Everything went smoothly. Staff and professionals were all polite and friendly. Raised the rating to 4 stars.
I was pleased with experience at Eye Doctors of Washington in the Vienna/Tyson’s office. The wait after arrival was minimal, and the staff were friendly and professional. Dr Mayer carefully explained his analysis and proposed course of action. He was not rushed, answered all my questions and made me feel confident in his diagnosis. I would have rated my experience five stars were it not for the 2.5 months I had to wait to schedule an appointment.
This is a very professionally run office. Everyone, from the front desk staff to Lamar, Fatima and Ni, who performed my eye tests and Dr. Mayer was friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and kind. They all made me feel like they were invested in providing me with great medical care and a positive, pleasant office experience. I would recommend this office to anyone needing specialized eye care. They really stand out as a stellar group.
My primary care provider highly recommended Dr. Mayer. I've struggled to find good quality eye care until now, but Dr. Mayer put my mind at ease. He has an excellent bedside manner and provides very clear explanations. I'm looking forward to continuing as his patient.
