There was a chance that my dog has cancer Dr Hodges is so kind and understanding..explained everything to me so I understood what was going on. Luckily my dog doesn’t have cancer and Dr Hodges is one of the best Vets we have ever had. Thank you Dr Hodges and your staff’
Don’t bring your animals here! I regret bringing my husky here. My husky was hospitalized over one weekend and required follow up blood work. Both my fiancé and I called and scheduled an appointment with this vet for Wednesday. When we brought our dog in, they said that we weren’t on the calendar but they’d try to squeeze us in. Front desk lady was very nice and I honestly thought someone made a mistake but was appreciative of them still trying to find a solution for us. However, we did not realize that would compromise the level of care our dog would later receive. When the vet tech came out to bring our husky to the vet, she was unfriendly and both my fiancé and I felt like she was having a bad day. As we are waiting in the lobby, our husky lets out a yelp. I assumed she was just being vocal as huskies can be talkers. Then I hear 1, 2, 3…5 cries! The other woman in the office was also concerned…. My dog had been in the ER for 2 days and did not cry ONCE! And now she is crying??? I got up and went to see my dog. I open the door and the vet was with my dog behind the tables and would not let me see her. I was saying that I assume she is scared and I can comfort her while she takes blood….The vet demanded me to leave and go sit down in the waiting room and that they are almost done…I felt that my dog was not being treated right. They had already began taking blood and our dog really needed these labs today in order to monitor her. They finished up taking the blood and the vet told me that “normally they take blood from the dogs neck, but because I didn’t have an appointment they were doing from her legs.” I was very upset when I heard that as my dogs legs were already sore from her ER visit and the vet seemed to be indicating that my dog got a different level of care because “we didn’t have an appointment.” We later found out that their staff accidentally clicked the wrong month and that’s why our appointment was not on the Wednesday slot. Anyway, I don’t even mind an accidental scheduling error but do NOT treat an animal differently because you didn’t expect this animal on your day. I would have preferred transparency and been told to go somewhere that was safer for her. I’m unfortunately now writing this review to warn other owners. I’d choose a different place if you have the choice to. I’ve had dogs for over 30 years and you can see that I don’t write reviews, unless I feel it’s necessary for others to know. Update - I checked and this was the animal hospital we went to.
VERY happy with this practice. I called for an appt as a new patient and they were able to see us the next day. Dr. Goldfarb was wonderful, and the staff are super friendly, welcoming, and very thorough. That means a lot, and we really appreciate the excellent care. Many thanks to all of you!
My 9 year old cat, Monty, had dental surgery. Dr. Kadam removed 9 teeth. She explained everything and worked with me on the price. The staff was very friendly and professional. This is the second time I've used them for dental work and I recommend them.
Very nice and accommodating staff. They got my pup in for vaccines on a short notice. Everyone was so friendly and treated him like a king. Dr. Goldfarb is wonderful and caring.
Took my puppy here for her first vet visit and it went perfect! The staff was so kind and answered each one of my fifty million questions, never making me feel like a pest. I sincerely appreciated the welcoming environment and the helpful staff!
Such a lovely place. I just moved to the area and have a diabetic dog who needed to establish care. They got me in right away and were so kind. Everyone from the front desk to the techs to the doctor were great. The visit was also very thorough. So glad we came across this clinic!
Great experience! Very kind and professional staff. This is our first pup and the vet answered all of our questions and helped us understand what to expect in this first year with out dog. Definitely recommend Fairfax Animal Hospital.
I recently adopted a young male rescue kitty, his name is Horace. We enjoyed his first Vet exam here at Fairfax Animal Hospital because the staff were so welcoming and helpful. I got him microchipped. The Vet came out after Horace’s examination to discuss how she evaluated his great health report. She gave me some helpful reading suggestions about behavioral issues, because I expressed concerns about Horace’s fearful mannerisms at home. I had adopted him only 2 weeks ago and he had been hiding from everything at my apartment. I am happy to say that Horace is slowly becoming less afraid and happier. The hospital has done a great job adapting to digital services. Their website is very responsive to my emails. I received one after our visit advising me of a prescription to treat a mild case of digestive trouble, which I picked up that day for Horace. I’m feeling confident and reassured as the days go by that Fairfax Animal Hospital has helped Horace overcome some of his fears.
