During my recent visit to the facility I am so pleased to say that the Admin and the Director of Nursing were doing a great job. The facility was very clean and all the patients were well cared for. The environment was very warm and cozy with a welcoming vibe. After visiting with the staff I could tell there was a genuine desire to provide quality care.
This place is great, got my aunt set up here when she fell and broke her hip. They took good care of her and therapy really helped her get back to her old self. The facility follows all Covid regulations which was great. Sarah is administration was so helpful with the registration process.
Compassion lives here! My mother has been in the facility for 2 weeks for Long Term care. As you can imagine, placing her was/is the hardest thing for me. PROS: Nonetheless, the staff here are LOVELY!!! Let me begin with Sarah admin professional, kind, always answers her phone OR calls right back; Leslie, Alex and Crystal- front desk staff- friendly, professional, alert will go out of there way to ensure phone calls and messages are relayed appropriately. I alway love that they don't blame other people for lack of response. "The nurses are on rounds, but I can assure you they will return your call". Their nurses, CNA's and Aides are wonderful too; Amy, both Edwards, Linda Nurses are attentive, detail oriented, professional- they are my favorite- yet Sister Carol, Velma and Savanah are great as well. Tracy, Stephan are such great joys- full of life, personable and make ALL efforts to clean, feed and attend to my mother's needs. There's an "Yvette" at night that I can see 'loving' on my mama after calling her that she's agitated. I can not leave out Nancy- her joy her joy spills out of her pours- they all have been called to this very challenging profession- and it shows. There's another staff member that cleans up my mom at night, she wears a fanny pack and has the energy of a toddler, seasoned woman-short hair with a spirt of Gold! sorry for forgetting your name. Thank you to ALL who have changed, fed, served my mother in any way. We are grateful. CONS: *Due to staffing I believe response at times can be slow. Seemingly they can use one or 2 more Aides or CNAs. *The rooms are not cleaned thoroughly. The trash is ALWAYS taken cared of and there isn't a 'smell' for the most part. However, I noticed a paper on the floor of my mom's floor for over 3 days. I came in on Sunday and swept/mop and disinfected her room. *They 'close' at 8pm. It would be nice to have the option to visit Mama when I put my children to sleep- and sit with her late nights as we did when she lived with us. Or help the staff in changing her in the middle of the night once or twice a week. Or, help prevent falls for I only live 10 mins away. I can easily come and help. However they have a STRICT 8am to 8pm visitation- and do not see beyond the scope of meeting the needs of the patients and their family. If we move Mama- this would be the primary reason. However it would be a hard call since these beautiful people are working their tails off with a smile. Thank you Fall Creek staff!
Patient rang bell and waited. I, a visitor, went to nurses station. It was empty and when an employee showed up and was told that my relative had rang for help, she told me she would try to find the nurse. I went back to the room and waited over 15 minutes. Still no nurse. Finally talked to a nurse and she basically told me a nurses aid was needed, not a nurse. Feeling I got was that no one really cared about the patient.
Breathtakingly beautiful facility but staff has ran it to the ground. The administrator is clueless, unprofessional and lacks leadership that shows through the actions of her team. My sister discussed several ongoing issues regarding my grandmothers care and she told her that she would get back to her with a solution but never did. It's clear that she doesn't care. For goodness sake, my sister said she rolled her eyes the entire conversation. Who does that? If you don't like your job get another one but these are peoples lives are at your mercy. Oh and dont waste your breath talking to whoever is over nursing because you either can't get through the phones because they NEVER answer or if you do, whoever the lady is is loud, rude and obnoxious. Never does what she says she will do either. My grandmother sat in feces for a half of day and honestly probably longer than that!! Thankfully my sister visited or who knows how long it would have been there. How could you degrade someone like that? They take your money but yet fail to provide adequate care? She has declined so much that we can't care for her at home so hopefully state will be able to enforce some change because they need it. Extremely disheartening because I had so much hope for a building with so much beauty.
This place is no good! Unless you have been here a long time. They talk about you behind your back. It is good and so is the food.
DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!! Highly overpriced & neglect from the staff and nurses for patients. Patients items and belongings get stolen all the time without remorse from the staff or reimbursement. High rates of COVID19 cases at this facility from staff given to patients. Food is barely edible and definitely not healthy. Pizza, chicken Alfredo, etc… I wouldn’t put my dog in this facility!
My mother was there four days and fell somehow on the fifth night, had a huge laceration on her head and pulled her feeding tube out somehow when she fell. They did call me to tell me that they were sending her by ambulance to the hospital. No-one told me exactly what happened or how it happened. They did know she was a FALL RISK..We stayed in the hospital for a week due to the fall and her having a UTI..They NEVER called to check on her or did any follow up! I must add the night before her fall, my car got broke into in their parking lot and apparently “this happens all the time,” says SEVERAL employees…
This place should be shut down my dad was there for rehab and came home in awful condition. They stole his electric razor and his clothes and sent him home with someone else's clothes. They never bathed him he came home with rashes and blisters all over his private areas. Please if you care about your loved ones avoid this place it's awful. I've taking pictures and seeking legal help because nobody should be treated the way my dad was.
Looks are deceiving!!! This is a beautiful facility. However, it is poorly managed and the level of care is not what we have experienced elsewhere. I have moved my family member due to insufficient dispensing/managing of meds, inconsistency of care between day and night shift there IS a difference! Not enough staff to properly "keep an eye on" "not as many eyes and hands available" words from director and social workers mouths. The majority of my family member's clothes were stolen and not replaced was told by admin that they would be replaced. The food served is unacceptable. The portions are terrible and the food looks rather unappetizing definitely bag in a box and canned food being served. My family member was very displeased with the taste and often still hungry. The prescribed diet of my family member was not being adhered to as well. There is an all around lack of care given at Fall Creek. Recently they have been "cleaning house" in administration and it went from bad to worse. The new administrators condescending, narcissistic egotistical manner in which he communicates and conducts business is atrocious.
