This is a hood store, be careful of your surroundings. They are perpetually short staffed, boxes are left unpacked and it’s dirty but I actually don’t blame the staff, most times I go there there’s barely enough staff to keep the cash registers going and it’s not the fault of the people that showed up, who are usually very nice. Corporate needs to work on staff retention, increasing pay and needed to hire security YESTERDAY. The brief time I was there most recently there were several people who appeared to be addicts and/or homeless that walked in and brazenly stole and walked out. I’ve been followed around the store and approached for money on more than one occasion. If you have a car/transportation I would recommend going elsewhere if you can .
I've never really held a high opinion of this store. I don't know if it's the same with all Family Dollar stores, but this one in particular has issues and has had issues for years. For one thing it seems to be perpetually dirty and not kept very well. Secondly it seems to be perpetually cluttered, and takes forever for the staff in the store to stock things and get it out of the way of the customers. I feel like I'm going to bump into stuff constantly, and have to just as constantly walk around that stuff. I am giving this three stars because the staff is for the most part, and most of the time friendly and amicable. Perhaps they need better management, or more likely new owners.
Chris is always helpful, the blonde Spanish girl is awesome, n the 2 new guys w dreads in they late 20's early 30's are good workers w good attitude.
Some prices are good some are not. The staff is rude and the store is always dirty. I go more out of convenience because it's closer than most stores. EDIT: store has only got worse. Staff is still rude and the store is dangerous. I won’t bring kids in there because of safety. Staff doesn’t care about anything other then getting paid. I will drive the extra 10 minutes to go somewhere else now. Also, prices are higher and it’s not worth the convenience anymore.
Every time I go there, they're only accepting cash because their card reader is always broken.
Dirty, cluttered, smells like cigarettes, the freezer smells like rotten meat, selling expired milk. Go to Dollar General or the Dollar Tree unless you have no other choice.
It's not the cleanest store, and they don't have most stuff, but they are good if you just need a quick drink, deodorant, or to add $ onto a prepaid debit card. They add funds to cash app too!
Affordable but then again what's affordable anymore everywhere is going up on prices
This poor store has so much potential. But you can see they lack help . There is one girl t who has been there now much longer then the others who came and went..Half the time she is the only one on so nothing else can get done. She definitely needs a pay raise. During the summer there was a new manager who appeared to be turning the store around...in a good way. Everything had a place. No boxes on the floor. She drove from New York somewhere, took her a few hours to get to this location. Also had a few good helpers. Now they are no longer working there. Something is terribly wrong. Credit goes to the girl who is there 24/7 trying to stand strong. I'm sure the pay is minimum wage unless your a manager. And even then probably a two dollar more then a cashier. Maybe pay more then minimum wage then you may walk into the store without having to open boxes on your own to find what you came for, or without tripping and falling over everything on the floor which then someone is going to get a big check from Family dollar because they didn't have the help to unload their merchandise.
Empty. Really slow. And Cluttered. Could be better. With better Customer Service. Happier Staff. And more Staff on stocking and not leaving the place all messy and things all over the floor where people can get hurt and stuff. They should organize the place a little bit better. Or it would be a lot better store if they did other than that it has a lot of potential if you were to clean it up organize it staff happier and nothing or you can trip and fall and get her and stuff like that cause it's so cluttered and unorganized. That's why I'm giving it the 2. Because of the potentially could have other than that it's only a one.
