The Fayetteville-Lincoln County Museum & Civic Center is the community's only public institution housing artifacts of local history. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, all operations are run by a board of directors and is funded solely through donations. Admission is free of charge and tours are provided by volunteer docents. The Civic Center is available for special occasions, and more information can be found at our website or by email.
The museum is located inside the historic Borden Milk Plant, built in 1921, and was donated to the Museum Association in 1986 by the William Carter family. The museum is home to the second largest exhibition of farming equipment in the Southeast, and features special exhibits on local schools, industry, and life.
To preserve and exhibit Lincoln County's history to the public free of charge.
