An absolutely amazing area. Places for all scout activities. We went there for camping and camporee. Lots of great areas for great camping options. At camporee the kids got to shoot rifles. Hiking and they even have summer camp option and retreat options. Drive during day though. Not streetlights so you will be in THE DARK here. Beautiful night skies.
Love the place. It's isolate and feels like you are in middle of back country. I've been volunteering thr Cub Scout Day Camp. It's hard work, and I always feel great helping afterward.
This was the first campout I had been to with my Boy Scout troop. I'd say it's a very good area, good for a beginner like I was.
Amazing staff and an all around great experience. The "theme" weekends are the best. You can tell they really care about the safety and comfort of all the guests. The wildlife is everywhere so be prepared and some of the roads are rough but it is a great rural camping experience in the middle of the city. It's off the beaten path but well worth the journey.
We just got home from our first cub games. The event was amazing! The orginization, leadership and teamwork could not have been better. The campground was clean and safe. I am not really into camping but I will do anything for my cub scout. Great experience!
Beautiful place to camp, saw a bunch of deer, the ground is very soft for a tent, good job
Great place to take my scouts. Close to home but feels like your miles away. Families can camp here as well for a quick get away, just need to call and make reservations .
Great camping and outdoors area run by the Boy Scouts. I went here many times as a kid for camping, shooting, and day camps. The best part is that it's a very local place, but it feels like you're far away.
Cub scout rocket camp 2013 was fantastic. The campground area easily held 500 people without feeling crowded. The gopher holes everywhere made for a lumpy campsite with the fearless furry friends making appearances several times per day. Water taps readily available. Frogs, owls, coyotes, and crickets easily drowned out any neighbors.
Great time with my son's Troop 211!
