We are new to the flint creek campground family. We purchased our camper on a whim and found flint creek which is located around 40 minutes away from our house. So for us it was far enough away to feel like we were getting away from our regular lives but close enough if we have to go home. When looking for a seasonal spot I called and talked with Lisa the new manager. I talked with her for awhile and it felt like we knew each other. She was very friendly and pleasant. She even ensured that we would only pay for a partial season because she did not feel it was right to charge full price for only a few months. So for the comments of trying to take your money that's not the case. While camping at Flint Creek since the end of July beginning of August we have created lasting friendships that are actually family and memories. Our children are not given alcohol by any adults in fact the adults all watch over the kids, come together and have cook outs and have fun together. We have heard from a lot of people that they are upset about change well the changes being made are going to be for the better. I'm sorry that a corporation bought Flint Creek but all of the new management are doing a wonderful job at making this place better we had so many memories created here that I will not give up. So if you aren't happy about the place because you had to leave don't give a negative review about it and make up false accusations because your in with the pervious owners. Let Flint Creek thrive and you go on your way and find somewhere else that you think can make you happy. I highly recommend Flint Creek you will feel welcomed and like family just like we did. Thank you to all the management and others who are trying to make flint creek even greater.
If you like to be nestled in hills, in a quiet rural area, plenty of space in the site, quiet guests, and the absolute best in customer service from the managers... then THIS is the place to be. It's gorgeous here and the grounds are kept very clean. The kids' Playground is awesome! There is actually a zip line! My oldest said it was the best she's been to and they go to ALOT of parks. The campground is a bit outdated in some areas, and that is the only reason for 4 out of 5. We stayed here 9 days and loved it. The hosts are very friendly and hospitable. They are going through a transition season this year with new management and ownership, so next year a lot of capital improvements should be in line. Flint Creek Campground will surely be worthy of 5 stars soon.
This is THE BEST campground. My kids always have the best time there. We’re looking forward to all the new upgrades that are to come with the new ownership. The managers are extremely friendly and very helpful. Thank you for making this such a pleasant stay for my family.
I closed up my camper for the season after finishing my 31st season at Flint Creek. I was sad to leave, but even sadder when I sat down to read these insane reviews. I retired in June and was looking forward to many more years at my “Happy Place”. When the season started we were told the campground was sold; and to a corporation. I will not lie, I was concerned because coming from the corporate world; the bottom line is generally spelled out in dollars and cents. I soon came to realize that was far from the truth. I had a great summer filled with meeting so many wonderful new people including the managers Mick and Lisa I have had 7 grandchildren grow up at Flint Creek spending many weekends that they enjoyed. I can honestly say that one of the older teenagers complimented that the new manager smiles a lot as opposed to the old manager who would yell at the kids all the time. The people that are not happy and have left were in a circle with the old owners – who for whatever reason seem to want to stay connected and stir the pot on a regular basis trying to get people riled up. Move on – it was your choice to sell out – leave those of us left behind to be happy. As for the complaints about the new corporation being money grabbers – and the place being outdated. It is outdated because the old owners DID NOTHING to improve it. They took your money every year and did NOTHING with it. Oh wait, they are living a mile down the road in a nice house and a big RV that we all paid for. Move on people – Flint Creek is for the Happy People and clearly you are not Happy.
This place is a joke. High expectations for a cornfield with no privacy. All of the sites are on top of each other. The playground lacks updated items. The seesaw looks as if it is going to snap at any given moment. There are no trails to hike. The bathroom by the rec hall has carpet in the showers, looks unsanitary. I will not be returning
My kids grew up at this campground for the past 14, 17, and 19 years! They spent many summers there, with their grandparents. New owners took over this past summer and we are very excited to have some fresh and new blood to do some much needed updates to that place!!! The previous owners were there for 20 years and did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to make improvements. The female owner just yelled at kids all day long for acting like kids… My mom still has a site with a camper and we will continue to enjoy visiting her during camping season and can’t wait to see all the new stuff coming! The new company has already made huge progress and just took over a few months ago!
My father and i have had a seasonal site here for about 15 years, and the old owners were amazing and did everything they could to provide an excellent family experience. However, it was recently sold to a money hungry corporation who does not care about a single thing besides getting money. We received a letter stating all campers had some time to clean up campers to meet the new expectations, but we received another letter booting us from the campground before that date even approached simply because our camper was “too old” even though besides a few minor fixes it’s in great condition. Also the water ever since the new owners came around is absolutely disgusting couldn’t even wash the dishes in it. If you want a good family camping experience DO NOT come here. They also raised the seasonal price by a significant amount right away. Absolutely no respect shown to the people who have camped there for years, especially people like me who we’re basically raised there. Very disappointed with the new owners.
After 22 years of camping here the campground was sold. New owners are rude and do not care who camps there. The playground is outdated, the restrooms have mold in the showers. We were told our contracts would not be renewed because our trailers were to old even after I told them we were purchasing a new camper in the spring. I put my trailer online and the owner gave it to someone. No ID, no phone call nothing. My trailer was stolen and he said it wasn't his problem. I asked for the phone number to corporate and he refused. We cleaned our site and left. Anyone who camps here should be careful, as some of the campers staying provided alcohol to my minor nephew. This is no longer a family campground. It is a corporate money hungry campground.
What an amazing campground! Very friendly! I was worried when new owners took over but the management team are the best! I love that they do family activities! I am glad I became a seasonal here! I can’t wait for next year to see all the upgrades!
My grandkids love it here! Everyone here is very friendly! We made a lot of great friends here! We had an emergency situation come up and the campers along with the management team helped us out a lot! I will forever be grateful!
