My family stayed in a cottage this past weekend and it was an amazing/clean/family friendly experience and we will definitely be returning this fall and the future years to come! From the friendly staff to the many activities offered to all age groups & pets too! The wet and wild tram ride was a big hit for our kids & us big kids adults as well. It was awesome to see the seasonal campers & the weekend campers participating in the events. I personally enjoyed the foam party the most & the DJ played a great show to end a Saturday full of fun. I have recommended Beth Page to several friend’s & coworkers this week and will continue to do so as I thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere.
The cabins that you can rent are very nice. The only thing that had a little downfall is there wasn't much room to move around in the bedrooms. Also the hot water went fast when you showered. The workers answered all the questions we had. And they were all so nice! This resort is very nice for a little family get away! Rooms: Not much room to move around in the bedrooms. Nearby activities: Not much around outside the resort. Walkability: Can walk around the resort or rent a golf cart. Food & drinks: Have a little restaurant on site
My husband and I and family visited Beth page for the first time this past weekend and stayed in a cabin . we don’t own a camper I was totally in shock of how nice they were , everything was so clean . The whole campsite was very clean . They had so many activities for the whole family to enjoy . The staff was very friendly in every area of the campground that we went to . The water park was amazing , my favorite part was Saturday when they had a water gun tram fight it was so much fun , the kids loved it . It was so awesome to see people of all ages join in the fun. I would highly recommend Bethpage and I can promise you we will be back .
We've been to this campground several times over the years because we have a LOT of children in our family 13 then. This is why we decided to take our grandchildren for a weeks stay. So so so disappointed. The golf carts were literally overwhelming. I don't go camping to drive around on a golf cart the entire time. I like to walk and ride my bike. The camp site says "pet friendly" but you can't even take them for a walk safely. I was constantly stressed because of the amount of golf carts. I would say 80% were non-licensed kids driving them, 50% of those blasting music most parents don't want their little children listening to. And I would bet if there were e.g 1200 camp sites, there were 1500 golf carts driving around every single road all day and night. 2 men's bath houses were out of order, ice cream place was never open. Posted hours on the door said Wednesday 12-8.... we went at 6, doors locked. We went again just before 6pm on Thursday and they literally kicked us out group of 11 so they made plenty of money off of usice cream in hand so they could lock the door. They kicked us out just as our entire group got ice cream and sat down!! I went to the general store twice, once around 8 am and once in the evening, both times they were closed. Crafts and activities are all geared towards above toddler age so my grandchildren didn't get to participate so there was just the pool. They can't go down the slides so it was "just a pool". From Sunday to Thursday they are not invested. It seems they make their money off of golf cart riders. So if that is what you pay good money for, to go to a camp ground and ride golf carts, then this is your place. We will not be returning.
This is a great place to vacation or own a vacation home. We are a seasonal own a park model trailer and have been for 6 years now. There's always plenty of things going on every weekend during the season. They have a great water park and have recently built another pool and country store. Service for visiting campers is great! For the seasonal, so-so. Located on the Rappahannock River, the water view lots have a great view. Definitely try this place out! You won't regret it.
We vacationed here this past weekend and we LOVED IT! The campsite was so clean and the employees were AMAZING. They provided so many activities for kids and adults. From the water park, cornhole tournament, wet and wild tram ride, a foam party and the best dance party you could imagine. It was an awesome weekend getaway, we will definitly be returning for years to come.
The entrance into the park is extremely nice and the gentleman at check in was super friendly. I do love the text communication before arrival. The ice cream and golf course was a big hit with my kids. However we won't be back. Unfortunately, I feel like this campground needs to have some kind of 24/7 security to enforce golf cart speeds and kids driving them. I don't mind hearing music coming from golfcarts but when it shakes the camper or is blasting at 11pm that's a little much. We stayed at site LB04 and it was EXTREMELY small. As soon as we would walk out our door we were greeted with our neighbors water and electric hook up area. Disappointed in this campground for not enforcing safety measures and camping etiquette.
Upset because was told Sunday the Creamery would be open on Thursday! Hours I know Sat Subject to change but there was no note saying they were not open. Leaving and the people came so my husband asked and they said they were closed. We walked from the middle of the campground to there. Do not mind walking but was not happy it was closed. Not sure I want to try again. The store is a joke! It is nice but nothing is priced!! Who ever heard of a store without some type of pricing Certainly not going to keep asking someone to scan for prices!! Would have gone and bought ice cream treats but I do not go places when no prices are listed! I sign would be great!! Golf carts are another issue and like people have said kids are driving and even adults are driving to fast and texting and driving and smoking and drinking! How many hands do people have! Then the pool has adults who are drinking in the pool. I have never been to a campground that allows alcohol in the pool and pneumonia lady was sharing her special watermelon recipe in the pool!! Says no food or drink in the pool!! Why have rules if no one is going to enforce them Weekend got worse! Went to pool on Friday and smelled like a brewery. No room to get in with everyone's large coolers of alcohol . Can not believe any campground allows this to go on! They are drinking alcohol in the pool and eating pizza and other foods. Never been to a campground where it was okay to drink all day in the pool.and the drive golf carts with beer in hand. Guy told another that you are allowed to drink and drive. Someone is going to get hurt! I know people drink at pools but they at least try to hide it! These people drink right from the cans and you can see what it says Drinking should be at campsites not in the pool.area or driving around. I will be sending a message to someone. Sad because it is a nice campground but the drinking has taken over.
This has been one of the best places to Come too for a vacation. So much to do. Everyone so nice. Will definitely be back The only issue I would say are the younger kids flying around on golf carts going faster than 10 mph and playing Loud musicRooms: 5/5
This was our first Encore resort experience. The water park was a huge hit with the kids and so so much fun. Most of the lifeguards were so cool with the kids and made it that much more fun. Shoutout to Owen, you rock! Almost all of the staff were extremely friendly, especially the guys that run the entrance/exit booths. The woman with grey/white hair at the Rec Center was so sweet and a favorite of my kids. She obviously loves her job and was so sweet with them. The Thousand Trails sites are up front straight in the sun and a longggg walk from the water park but for $300 for a 2 weeks stay it’s still absolutely worth it. A steal. If you don’t have any kids you’d probably prefer those spots as they are next to the new pool. We got lucky that we couldn’t fit our rig and got a nice shaded spot close to the water park. We will absolutely return but I won’t give more than 3 stars for the following reasons: The biggest for us is this is a family campground and of all the places I would have not expected children centered PRIDE activities for an entire week. We would have planned around it had we known. This was specifically aimed toward the children and its grooming behavior. Apparently this was the first year and I hope it’s the last because it’s just not appropriate. Our kids couldn’t do anything at the Rec center for an entire week due to this-and it was raining that whole week so it was a big bummer. I popped in with them a few times between activities but it still sucked for them. Make it make sense that my 8-12 year old children weren’t allowed to watch Avatar but they had Sam Smiths Unholy blasting during “pride bingo” with young children. The math isn’t mathing. The woman that runs the Rec Center half the time was extremely rudethe one that lives above it. She had a nasty disposition towards our children and myself despite us always being polite. She had a smart mouth about them playing pool while I was there and how “all RV parks don’t allow the kids to play”. We never complained I simply asked why they couldn’t and if they would be allowed to play WITH ME. Then when my oldest parked her bike in the entrance she was asked to move it-understandable so. When my younger child asked her sister if she had to move her bike the woman commented, “she won’t be doing that again”. Why? Why have a smart mouth like that towards a 12 year old? She’d be better off cleaning bathrooms or something with an attitude like that. There was some extreme weather during our stay and one night there were tornado, extreme wind and hail warnings. Being in an RV during a tornado is obviously dangerous so we wanted to make a plan of somewhere to go. I called the front desk and he acted like my question of where the safest place to go was crazy. He not only didn’t know but didn’t care. I’d expect guests safety to be important. Fortunately it narrowly missed us with only some small hail. It was a scary night for sure. Like I said, we will be back and overall our experience was good.
