Updated, contemporary public library with plenty of hard and paperback books, audio books, CD’s, reference materials, computers, reading nooks and crannies to get lost in the world of reading. I got a library card today which was relatively easy to secure. The library was laid out succinctly and books were easy to find. The information staff was helpful, but I would have loved a quick tutorial on how to find and check out books and a little more information on what’s available rather than happily stumbling upon it. By the looks of things, there are rooms you can check out if you’re having a meeting. I couldn’t find the book I was as interested in checking out, but that is okay as I have other books I’m reading. I will definitely make a trip back to this library in the future. The library is quiet, clean and inviting. The library is closed on Mondays.
We love FPL. The new renovation is amazing. Kiddo loves the Children's section. My favorite part? There's a dedicated snack room in the kids section! We could spend hours in this one section alone!
This remodeled library is very nice. Last I knew it was still using the card system to look up books. Now it is all computerized. You can search for a book much easier now. They have neatly organized areas of book selections. The children's area is right in the front and has a computer area for kids that is monitored. There is also a different computer room upstairs.
Excellent place for FREE family fun in Genesee county MI. Kids enjoyed play area, interactive color board, tons of books, movies, ECT. They have free story time in and outside activities. Lots to do! I brought my grandkids. I actually haven't been here since my kids were little. Absolutely excellent updated facilities.
A beautiful place to take the kids, search for books, or just sit and read!
I am so proud of of the Flint library. My little ones were so sad when they closed to remodel. It's super nice and neat. Extremely family and children oriented. Also, oriented for people who are in grade school and college. I love it. It's almost given "Barns and Nobles". Which is my kind of vibe. I'm so happy with this location. Let's keep it beautiful and neat.
I went to the Gloria Coles Flint Public Library used book sale today and I got several really good references books and I also went inside the library and was really impressed by how nice they remodeled the building.
Just finished last day of 6 week Senior Yoga. Free & in partnership between the FPL & Crim Foundation. Elizabeth was a great instructor. They hope to resume in the fall and meanwhile will have Family Yoga starting. This is just one of many great things going on...
The building is nice and they have a good selection, however when my wife and I went to sign up the person we dealt with was extremely rude for no reason . I could see she had been playing a game on her phone and I guess she was mad that we interrupted her.
Stopped in for my first time.. I was blown away by how huge it is! Very friendly staff, will definitely be back!
