I have been bringing my dogs to Florida Wild for a couple years now. I just had 4 of the worst days of my life because my pride and joy my big Aussie, became very ill. I did not think it was possible because my dog is older, but they saved his life. Thank you to Dr. Kelly and all of the amazing people who took care of my boy. You all are awesome.
They now have a policy that they will no longer give updates on injured wildlife that you drop off to them. They don't have this update stated on their forms and they don't inform you of this info before you surrender wildlife animals. We should have a choice whether to leave an animal with them or not by informing us of this new policy BEFORE release it to them. In my opinion, people who are willing to take the time to get involved in a rescue have the right to updates on animals they helped with. We depend on the public to get involved, and at the very least, make the phone calls to get these situations reported. That is the only reason these animals get the help they need to begin with. I dropped off a little bird that made it through the night. Two cats had it when found on 9/27/23. The bird was very alert and perky but I took it to this facility just to make sure. When I asked for an update, they said they no longer give updates. How sad I was and still am.. not to mention inconsiderate of them. So..as great this hospital is, if you need to drop off an injured animal especially a bird but would like an update? Do NOT leave it with them. Take it to the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet, they told me they are happy to give updates.
Very very nice place. They do things differently than our regular vet in a great way and seem to care. The only downside is how expensive their visit price is compared to the majority of other vets. The care is top notch though.
My little fur baby needed emergency surgery after opening her spaying wound. Everyone here was kind and comforting to me and LulaBehl. I have never seen a nicer place even for humans. The intake was fast and I was given all of the information regarding the surgery. First class care!
Today was my first time at this vet hospital, and I was blown away! Not only did they see my sick rabbit on such short notice, everyone was so kind and I knew she was in great hands. I’m confident she will get better soon and back to her old spunky self thanks to their amazing work. I’ve told my coworkers and friends all about it especially the ones with rabbits because it’s hard to find good care for rabbits! Thank you to everyone there, I will bring my rabbits here from now on even though it’s way out of my way. It’s worth it!
The best place in Central Florida to care for your pets! There are not very many integrative veterinarians in Florida, but this place tops all of them! They have taken care of all of my dogs, and my birds with such Loving Care. Love this place so much!
My Maltese dog, Oliver, has had a total quality of life transformation thanks to this practice! After tearing his cruciate 4+ years ago and not being a candidate for surgery due to age and other medical conditions, Dr. Mason and Dr. John restored Oliver’s quality of life through therapy and minimal medication. At almost 14 now, he is only going for maintenance therapies and is on no pain medicine! The staff is incredible and compassionate too. Your dog will thank you for becoming a patient!
I really wanted to like this vet. I brought in my puppy for an early check up and was seen by a fairly young vet who seemed inexperienced. The vet checked my puppy and told me to be back at 8 months for shots and I was surprised, 8 months? That's not what I knew about shot schedules, I thought always 8 weeks. The nurse came back and apologized and said the vet made an error and it's 8 weeks, fine, vet made a mistake. I then returned the next day and left a sample and also requested via the receptionist for the vet to call me with more specifics on how and when to start my pup on solid food......never heard from them again, they never followed up. I did overhear other more experienced doctors talking to customers with more care and attention and figured I was just assigned the wrong vet. The staff was nice and especially the nurse, she was very sweet.
Dr Hathaway and the entire Veterinary team is outstanding in the care they provide. We have been coming to this practice from New Smyrna Beach for 6 years. Our dog Sammy has diabetes ,chronic pancreatitis as well as Cushings and a litany of other problems. Dr Hathaway balances Chinese and western medicines to keep him stable. I’m thoroughly convinced that he would not be alive today without her. When Dr Hathaway is away, Dr Schrager knows exactly how to care for him as well. The continuity of care is extremely important to this practice. Our dog Sookie was there for a possible UTI Dr Hathaway’s thorough exam caught an issue with her spleen which required emergency surgery. I highly recommend them and am grateful I found them.
Finding a vet you can trust, and has your pets welfare first, is hard to find. All of the veterinarians I have dealt with for my dogs have been caring, sympathetic and wonderful. Everyone who works at Florida Wild has been awesome. I have dealt with Dr. Barbara the most...she assisted with helping my dear Nikki pass over the rainbow Bridge. She is now overseeing my new rescue Bella and my very senior dog Coco...Dr. B is so patient and kind. Now that Bella is attending "play dates" Jade, Bre and Justin are awesome as well. I highly recommend this practice. I love that they use a combination of holistic, western and Chinese medicine. ALL Of the doctors are fantastic. Office staff is wonderful as well.
