Have purchased at least 10 pairs of glasses at this location over several years between myself and my husband and we couldn't be happier with their professionalism, quality and price. My favorite employee is Faina, who helped me select my first pair of glasses and the latest ones tonight. She is helpful and honest about what looks good with what face shapes and she is knowledgeable about their products. Always a good experience and the glasses usually come in before they promise them. I'm a customer as long as Faina is an employee.
My first pair of Glasses. Almost. First try, the eye doc cancelled my appt. Because it was nearby, I tried again. The eye doc was good. Went back with my wife to help pick out frames. We had a few frames, & I asked the girl for her professional help, and she basically ignored us! She had a couple passing comments, but barely came out of her computer. She asked a couple other people to help them.. In the computer some more, then on the phone. Thanks for your "help". I'll buy elsewhere.
Sandy was very helpful in getting me new lenses for my frames. His service was efficient and the price was as good as I could find, and I did call a few places including Costco. He even opened the door for me on my way out. That is customer service! Looking forward to being able to see better . Thank you Sandy and For Eyes!
This office is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!!! - I AGREE with the earlier posts - Go to another For Eyes location or another Eye company - I went in to the Northbrook, IL store and was ignored as the people behind the counter were too busy with their computers to even look up. Finally an employee approached me asking if I needed help. I told her I needed an exam for contacts and to purchase some glasses through my insurance. She then walked away and said someone else would help me. I waited as the computer screens remained everyones top priority. Finally I gave my insurance to another woman-- waited 20 minutes there was no one else in the store for the entire 90 minutes they kept me there and the entire time I felt like my being there was bothering them and preventing them from doing whatever they were doing on their computer. Waited, and waited-- finally had my exam and asked Dr about type of contacts I would need. Received my exam results-- went the next day to order contacts --only to find out the Dr never did the Contact Lens part of the examination. I called to complain-- was told that it was "My Problem" for not checking before I left to see if the contact lens test was done and I'd have to schedule another appointment and pay $60 more dollars for the service. Suffice it to say I will never go back to this store. The employees are very rude, have no interest in customer experience and just sit there with their heads stuck in front of their computer surfing or doing something other then their jobs. BTW - It is important for everyone to know that For Eyes charges extra for a contacts examination-- - if you get a contacts examination from Lenscrafter, Costco, or Sams club -- its all included- glasses and contacts -- -- you don't pay extra!!!!!!!
Dr. Malishkevich is an outstanding eye doctor. My contact lens prescription is very tricky — massive myopia + mono vision is easy to get wrong, both on fit and correction. Dr. Malishkevich has repeatedly done a better job of getting it perfect for me. In fact, she does such good work that I drove all the way to Northbrook from Evanston to have her do my exam, even though I live a few blocks from the For Eyes store in Evanston.
This location is absolutely horrible. I went in and an employee approached me asking if I needed help. When I told him that I wanted to order some contacts and purchase some glasses through my insurance he said someone else would help me. Then another man came up and asked for my prescription. I pulled it up on my phone and he said that he couldn't accept it unless it was on paper. He asked his colleague the one who originally came up to me and his colleague said they can take the one on the phone as long as they can read it. The man came up to me again and told me this and then a minute later asked if I could print a copy. I was already in the store. How was I supposed to print a copy from my phone? I then asked him to check my insurance to confirm the benefits I had. He tried looking it up and then told me that I had a discount plan. This was absolutely wrong. Both employees I encountered didn't seem to want to help customers or sell any products to us. I did call my insurance company later and they informed me that the plan I had was a coverage plan not an insurance plan. Suffice it to say I will never go back to this store. The employees are very rude and have no interest in doing their jobs.
This location should be your first and only stop for an eye exam and a new pair or two of glasses. Experienced staff, a truly professional doctor and great selection, with great prices.
Been going here for years! They are excellent. Especially dr Arnold and Faina
