Interestingly enough another user seemed to have an identical experience to ours.  We had just left a local restaurant and went to cross the road on a legal crosswalk signal.  Half way  across the street an officer begins to turn into the crosswalk nearly hitting us.  I grabbed the person I was with to stop them from getting hit and the officer proceeds to turn his lights on.  He jumps out of his car and very aggressively proceeds to ID us,  hand on his gun,  as if we were wanted felons. I will be contacting his superior to file some form of complaint but I wanted to warn others of this behavior.

I was harassed and ticketed by a officer for crossing a street. As I approached the crosswalk, i noted his presence and turned from the STOP crosswalk to cross the intersection with a flashing walk sign keep in mind, there was NO traffic in either direction .  The officer flashed his lights and stopped me. When I asked why I was being stopped, the office immediately took an aggressive tone with me as though I had just been caught stealing a car. He explained that I was stopped for crossing on a flashing crosswalk sign isn't the flashed like a yellow?. He did so in a very gruff/aggressive manner. I understand they are doing a job, but community policing should be about building healthy/trusting relationships with citizens, not terrifiying them in the middle of Main Street. It's a ticket for $110, FOR CROSSING THE STREET! It's shameful that local PD feels this is an appropriate way to interact with citizens of the community.

Thank you once again for your kindness  and dedication. Officer Sanchez is a gift to the community. There have been many other officers who have helped us along the way and we are so grateful to all of you.. I wish I'd kept track of names so I could call them out now as well,  but please know how thankful we are to all of you. Forest Grove Police Department is The Best! Our city is lucky to have such wonderful  men and women who work so hard and care so much.

I'd like to know why an officer and a detective came to my door after running my plate while parked, not running on private property. They claimed the registration came back to a GMC pickup not my vehicle and asked me to provide my registration. I refused. They asked why I was refusing. I outlined several reasons as to why I do not provide information to police voluntarily, one of which being police misinform and manipulate something I have experienced firsthand twice people into providing information. I asked them to leave and they continued to press me. I shut the door in their faces, called DMV *and* ran a second public records check online. My plate came back to MY VEHICLE on both searches. Could have been an error, but I doubt it based on their behavior. I moved here 4 weeks ago. GREAT IMPRESSION YOU'VE MADE.

You were harassing me and missed out on the real crimes.. good job guys! I have lived in this town since 92. I helped build the ramps for the first skate park and worked extensively on getting the second park. My friends and i do what we can to help the park and keep the drug rats away as much as we can. Today im at the park putting a new skateboard togeter when an officer comes to my car and makes me get out and give him my Id. He says he's never seen me before so he's just checking me out. I tell him I have beens skating here since it opened 10 years ago, and have been parking in the same spot every time as well.. It's just silly. I'm an adult, setting up a skateboard and need to be checked out, but he doesnt even bother the goon kids at the gazebo who don't skate. Those kids do heroin and stuff like that but the guy with the skateboard is needing to be checked out.. Ok, so you checked me out, now go get those trouble making drug addict kids out of here please!! Leave the skateboarders at the skatepark alone and and go stop the kids from hanging out in the gazebo doing drugs and blowing up the bathroom sink.

My mom's money was stolen from Goodwill by a regular and within one hour the police department called my mom and informed her the man had been found and her debit cards and $160 in cash was returned in full. Thanks to the Forest Grove police department, amen.

Awesome, but they won't let me pet the dog. If he bite's, that is because I am tasty. That's my problem.

FG Police are the best, no question about it!! Always friendly and helpful!
