Long Beach Police Department

Dispatchers are polite and professional and so are the officers…when they finally show up. It’s not the officers’ fault that this city is poorly managed and the PD is understaffed. We pay a ton in taxes to live in SoCal and yet somehow that money doesn’t seem to make it to the places that actually matter. The sad reality is that when seconds count, these guys are hours away. Want to live in Long Beach? Be prepared to defend yourself. Want to own a business in Long Beach? Don’t sell anything valuable.

I was just driving down bellflower with my girl in my truck. I got lost for some reason and went past PCH the street I needed. I was sitting at a stop sign when a cop pulled up next to me and I ask him where was PCH he was the biggest help and steered me to where I needed to go. I wasn't afraid at all great guy, if I was in Huntington Beach and did that omg. I would of been placed in handcuffs or beaten up, so LBPD you guys are awesome keep being nice to the public and your a great example , HBPD should copy you guys thanks

I don't like calling the cops, but there have been 3 incidents where I've been obligated to. The dispatcher was polite and efficient. The officers responded within 20-25 mins at the latest. After this most recent call, the police officer called to follow-up after responding. I am grateful to the LBPD community and all the hard work they put into keeping our city safe. Thanks, LBPD! :

Iam embarrassed that bubbles is able to be on steroid and have the fakest impression of her being able to win. A fight with me ism truly hurt that this gi has the biggest front on me its not fair to me as a person growing up in this city of long beach she kills my heart knowing it is never true an my sister is the only and first reason I font lins you there is no other one so get real today. Not even going to explain my experience with this department. No longer live in the city don't feel safe with this department. And I love Long Beach the lbpd makes me feel unsafe. Knowing my rights a man should never pat down a woman way to take advantage of someone.

My experience with The Long Beach Police Department was this Easter weekend when I came from Santa Monica to one AIrbnb place in Long Beach and my car was stolen in front of the house.. I called 911 Monday 9am , the lady in the phone was very nice and look for an interpreter for me, the Officers B. Prebanda and J. Juarez arrived in less than 15 min. They were very nice taking the stolen vehicle report. The stolen car experience is terrible , specially when you don’t have full cover like me. I had 2 terrible days figurating what to do and how to work without my car …but thanks to LBPD I am very happy now and telling a happy history that no anyone can tell… They got my stolen car back! On Tuesday night I received one cal from LBPD and could piciked my car up today and now I can continue my normal life after this bad experience with happy ending! . Thanks LBDP !

I found a note by the villa Rivera condominiums that said “help, I’ve been kidnapped. I’m next to where you found this note.” I called 911. LBPD never showed up to investigate and didn’t take me seriously. Waiting for a call back from the department regarding the matter. What a shame. What are our tax payers paying for, exactly? If that note was serious, and I’m going to assume so because of the nature of the matter, LBPD has blood on their hands. UPDATE: LBPD called me back. They spoke with the management at the building and searched the area, seems like they did their best to help. Feeling better now!

My slumlord stabbed me in my eye in Spring 2018 and stole half the property in my room and threw the rest in the dumpster right in front of the police and changed the locks. Long Beach PD did jack squat about it. I’ve been homeless ever since. On top of that, they ticketed me for being homeless and try to mandate that all homeless people get processed through that concentration camp facility across the river on Anaheim. I’ve rarely been less impressed with a police department and city government. The only exception is a klan-run city and PD in Texas.

I’ve been waiting over an hour for the police showed up after I was attacked by this crazy man it is currently 1039 pm and I called at 930. They said it wasn’t enough of an emergency and that they had more important matters to attend. Just because I’m homeless they haven’t came to help me out.

I just want to take a moment and give my thanks to the quality of life unit, Officer Jonny Dawson And his partner Richard. These heroes have gone out of their way to take another addict off the street and put her into rehab. That attic is my sister who for years and years I sat almost useless and out of options watching my mother leaves every evening thinking and almost realizing that she would be dead any day from heroin addiction. Long Beach Police Department has shown their community that they truly care, They deserve our thanks, the CO An award for letting it happen in these two officers medals for bravery.
