Description

Forest Park-DeBaliviere is a MetroLink light rail station, located at the northeast corner of Forest Park Parkway and DeBaliviere Avenue in St. Louis, Missouri. This station is located just to the north of Forest Park. Attractions in the park include the St. Louis Art Museum, Saint Louis Zoo, Missouri History Museum and The Muny in addition to athletic fields, biking and running trails, and golf courses. The station is the transfer point for trips between the Shrewsbury branch and the Lambert Airport branch. It also features 100 park-and-ride spaces. The Forest Park-DeBaliviere station opened on July 31, 1993 as one of the original stations in the MetroLink system. It was originally constructed with side platforms and a single entrance serving the westbound platform. Access to the eastbound platform required walking the length of the westbound platform and crossing the tracks at the end. As part of the Cross-County extension of MetroLink from Forest Park-DeBaliviere to Shrewsbury-Lansdowne I-44, the station was reconstructed with an island platform to allow easy cross platform transfers between the Blue and Red lines and two station entrances, one on either side of DeBaliviere Avenue.Loop TrolleyThe Loop Trolley, a new streetcar line that is due to begin operation in the second half of 2017, will have a stop on DeBaliviere Avenue near the entrance to the MetroLink station.

Be aware of schedule changes. Especially here since it splits going Eastbound Southeast bound towards Shrewsbury... Security staff is usually consistent due to past crime on DeBaliviere and on the new train platform. It can be chaotic, especially during rush hour... Overall, it's a good place to get affordable but slow transportation anywhere in St. Louis and across the river into Illinois. Stay away from the tunechi k2 heads there, total unpredictable zombies! P.S. If you're hungry, check out the Ocean Grill up the steps from the train. Great food and service with no worries, only happiness there! Love the gyros, pizza puffs, and Philly cheese steak sandwiches!!!
This is the transfer point between the the Airport Red train, going north to Delmar, UMSL and the airport; the Shrewsbury Blue train, going south to Clayton Washington U and Shrewsbury. There is an elevator at the west end of the platform.
Stunningly beautiful. A must visit if you are in town.
I would like to Thank You to a nice young lady working the security detail at this station. Don't remember the exact time, my guess was about noon, when I approached and ask her for help/direction. Not only she took her time to tell me how to get to my destination, SHE MADE SURE!, I took the right train. I thought she was already gone and when the next train arrived, out of nowhere, she called at me and said "uh uh, not the train, the next one, the BLUE train". Thanks to her, I made it to my destination and ON TIME! Thank you and I'm sorry I didn't get your name.
I didn't have any problems with/at this transit center. It's a nice stop
I love contributing to Google it's fun
Public transportation - the only way to get about town. Forget about gas prices, traffic, and the usual BS associated with automobiles - get on the train. Save money, headaches and nonsense - get on the train.
