This is the worse hospital ever! I came in at 9:05pm….. It's 1:10am and my boyfriend has not been seen yet. The nurses are at the nurses station laughing and talking about personal business. The nurses are rude and when asked about how much longer, they all looked and laughed. The doctor is no where to be found. I absolutely will never recommend and after all they money they received to renovate. I hate the fact that they are never held accountable for the worse provider care ever! . If the EMT takes you here, BEWARE. !!!!!!!!! They don't even deserve ONE STAR!
I was there on 8/8/2023,and I would just like to give a loud shout out to the lady that works in housekeeping over night, I think I heard her name is Ms. Tonya. There was a patient in the waiting area of the emergency room that hygiene was not good and the lobby had a very strong smell, I know that the environmental service doesn't always get praises but I would love to give this women one. She came out to clean the area with no problem and was very polite to ask if anyone needed to use the restroom before she closed it to clean it and after she got finish doing her duties you couldn't tell it was dirty and smelly so THANK YOU MA’AM for doing such a Awesome Job, there should be more workers that takes pride in their work.
This place really deserves no stars if I’m being quite honest. I’m not one for many emergency hospital visits but my experience here was beyond horrible. I took my dad to get checked out for swollen legs and significant weight loss. I anticipated that we would be there for a while as I know this isn’t a McDonald’s but never did I imagine I would be there for 11 hours. The staff here are also pretty rude and just plain unprofessional. At the end of the 11 hours I finally saw a doctor to help my dad. Did not catch his name but I did not get peace of mind from him. He barely knew what was wrong with my dad when he walked in and basically prescribed him Tylenol. After 11 hours of testing and waiting they told me to give him Tyelonol!!! He did not really have a full report or results he just told me that my dad had the shakes which I could visibly diagnose also and i am not a doctor thanks doc! I will make sure to NEVER come back to this establishment and that none of my friends or family come here either. The only reason I came here was because it was the closest to me at the moment but next time I will drive the extra hour to get the service that is deserved.
My mom was rushed here by ambulance. She was here for 2 days until she passed. The staff went above and beyond to help my 89 year old mother be as comfortable as possible. I would give this hospital not 5 stars but a million. Thank you Adventist. My mom is looking down thanking you as well for doing all that you could!
Our doctor was great and made up for the terrible front desk/lobby experience! But overall we were Very disappointed in the extremely low level of customer service at this establishment especially at the lobby/front desk area. Not even a hello, the desk ladies just gossip and laugh while patients in extreme pain are not even tended to— My mom severely cut her finger and came here for ER care and we have been here for over 4 HOURS. Not one person has come to greet us, ask my mom if she’s okay or anything — STAFF HERE NEED BETTER TRAINING. Where is the training here? It’s an emergency center, and the sad thing is you can be left to wait for 4+ hours without anyone helping you or checking on you at all.
My father went in years ago with heart issues and the hood at the front desk dismissed him to just sit and wait… Real value of life there. Fast forward to now, he goes back after collapsing and being immobile and is taken in via ambulance. They sit him in a wheel chair and abandon him in the waiting room. Thankfully my mother and friends of the family got him to a credible, professional and real hospital where they revealed he had a BLEEDING IN HIS BRAIN. I thank God other hospitals are not like this one. If you can even call it a hospital. Really just somewhere they get off on disrespecting the lives of other black people. probably a money laundering front based on the garbage staff working there Actions will be taken… [Ignoring any fake, manufactured response from the quaks that work there so save it]
Wish I could rate this place 0 stars! My experiences at this location has always felt like the bare minimum. My specific case/concern this time was when I came in having major chest pains and shortness of breath. After they told me that I was having a bad lupus flare up, swollen lymph nodes, pleurisyfluid around my lungs and a enlarged heart they simply discharged me a prescribed me pain/inflammation medicine. I was still in major pain when I went home and had high hopes the medicine they prescribed me would work after a few doses as told. Three days later I ended up having to get rushed to the er and begged them to take me somewhere else other than this facility since I felt like the treated me with lack of care and proper treatment for a 30 year old having a major lupus flare up. They even were about to charge me for trying to walk out the hospital in their gown with the blanket wrapped around me vs asking me if I needed assistance getting dressed after discharging me. Security ended up helping me get dressed since it hurt to raise my arms as my chest was still hurting badly
I've been waiting to see a doctor for 4 hours. Came in with a severe nose bleed after having 4 heavy nose bleeds in 3 days. Currently experiencing another nose bleed while in the wait area. If you have a choice to go to another medical center , please do. Do not go to the Fort Washington location. You would be dead before you are seen by a doctor. If there was an option for no Star, I would select it. Absolutely ridiculous. I will never go back to this hospital or recommend it to anyone.
The reviews are REAL and true if you go there you will be waiting for 6+ hours and that’s just to be taken to a room not even to be seen it’s ridiculous! The nurse manager or supervisor has came down 3 times to apologize yet we are still waiting for hours in pain ! It’s ridiculous and honestly unprofessional ! I woukd never recommend not even if your dying and it’s walking distance walk somewhere worth it
I'm going to share 1 star cause know option for no star's. My daughter came here this morning for stomach pain, it's 6:17 pm an I just went and checked on her she still haven't been seen. I understand hospitals are busy but come on this is not wright. My daughter went to Southern MD hospital there wait was 11 hours. Come on it got to get better!!
