Nice little park where you can find a bench and enjoy the breeze from Bimini Basin. Note this isn't a swimming beach.
We went to for Freedom Park for the food truck and vendor event. It was fun. It was also crowded. It would have been nice to have more food truck options since the lines were so long at the two dinner trucks that were available and the two dessert trucks.
Quaint, quiet, and breathtaking views. This park is on a backstreet conveniently tucked behind a locally owned ice cream shop off Cape Coral Parkway. My little family has visited and walked through many times with our two fur babies. We even had a small family photoshoot here for holiday cards. There is a gated children's park how smart and safe!, gazebos with picnic tables scattered throughout the area, lots of beautiful trees and landscaping, and then the best part is the mini beach. Sunset is such a gorgeous time to walk through as the sun hits the water just right. It's not a huge park, but it sure is nice.
Great park to host a party and my children were able to run around safely because it was gated and closed at all entrances. There are friendly reminder posters to help keep the gates closed for children's safety. The bathroom was cleaned and air conditioned. I would add an additional standing sign for the restrooms because I went to too many wrong doors. It's located on the side of the building and the door has a restroom sign on it. My kids had a great time and we would definitely return. There were different play areas and my kids loved the swings. Their ages are 2 and five. Even on a hot day there were a lot of park benches and shaded areas for them. A bonus was walking in the beach sand and bringing beach toys. Also there are lots of park benches with shade around the water.
Went for the first time with my 3- and 6- year old during the hot summer afternoon sun. Four Freedoms has parking on the north and east side of the playground, from what I saw. Not a lot, just designated parking on the shoulder of the road. The neighborhood was ok. There was a bank. Duplexes, and apartment buildings directly across from the park. It's right off of busy Cape Pkwy, behind a bank. The bonus is that the entire play area is fenced it with "childproof" closing mechanisms. Four Freedoms has an office building that you can rent out, preschool inside, fenced in playground, and a walkway to a beach area, which is only for sunbathers and currently closed, per posted signage. The play area had artificial turf under the playgrounds and swings. It was nice and cushioned, but also very hot. There were two newer playgrounds for younger kids, an older playground for older kids, 2 accessible swings, 2 baby swings, a tire swing, and 4 normal swings. There were ample, newer, picnic tables, and 4 under a gazebo. There were many mature trees providing shade, but a majority of the swing sets and the larger, newer playground closest to the building remained exposed to the sun, and very hot around 1:30pm in early August. It would be nice if they had those shade coverings like other Cape parks and elementary schools. There was an entry gate to the play area from each side of the park north, west, and east. Then, there was a walkway to the sand beach currently closed, but posted as a sunbathing beach only. Overall nice place and general "safe" feeling with the childproof fencing, and plenty of room for kids to run and jump within. The big con for me was the lack of shade directly over the play areas.
Took my son and baby Sis magnet fishing. I'm from out if town so I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of this park area. Both nights we went after dark- we had no issues. Stay aware and stay safe. **PICK UP YOUR FISHING LINE! STOP THROWING IT INTO THE WATER. WE PULLED SOOOO MUCH OUT. :- Playground: Playground under lights - what a fun night time area!! Looked clean and fun for little ones. Always check your surroundings. Picnic area: Picnic tables seemed clean under my flashlight areas were absent of trash. There were plenty of trash receptacles.
Apart from the regular things that kids can do at any park, this one has the Bimini Basin, where you can do lots of funny activities. We love it to cruise around on our inflatable boat and play "the floating castle".
We love this park! Its all fenced in so its a very safe place for kids to play freely and get all there energy out! Clean bathrooms and lots of shaded picnic areas. Also a small beach just outside the fenced in area.
