Very enjoyable park. Has couple of spots to see, trails, viewing tower, butterflies and lizards, children playground, dog park... I recommend bug spray if you visit the swampy area though.

Cape Coral has an abundance of little gems hidden away. Having visited Cape Coral several times from 2000, this week was the first time I had come across this place. Partially due to Hurricane Ian. Having arrived a day before the storm, visiting my Uncle and staying at 51st SW and walking for many miles around I came across Rotary Park. Amazingly just down the road. It is a shame I found this place after the devastation of Ian, that said you can still see the beauty in it. Onsite there is a butterfly centre, some cages of which I believe are rescue animals / reptiles. I believe the butterfly centre is open daily from 10.30, but again due to the storm... The grounds are really nice and it also has a dog park and a children's play area. I chose not to adventure on to the trail through the swampy area as I wasn't to sure about how the structure was, but you can see the walkway goes for some distance to a platform further out from which you get an arial view. I chose to upload the photos I took so everyone has the opportunity to see what it is like 'now' following the storm and the work the Cape will have to put into it getting back up to the beauty it is. Somewhere I will be certainly revisiting next time I am here and hopefully the good people on the Cape are back on their feet again. Hopefully my flight out to the UK will be running tomorrow, 10 Oct 2022. I wish everyone on the Cape all the best moving forward and you are all in my thoughts.
I found this park by googling places to run in Cape Coral. I wouldn't really say it was a place to run. It had a great trail with some very scenic views and a lookout tower I totally did not expect all of that. By the parking lot is a very nice dog park. And you walk around back on the pavement and to your left you'll see a path and it takes you to some great water views and a lookout tower in a very nice ,rather short if you're a hiker, hiking trails but for the area I would say it was a very nice experience.
It seemed like this park went on forever, there was so much to explore and see. They had a garden, a playground and even a hiking trail. Parking was cheap around like 5 bucks. And such an amazing experience!!!! A must do
Super impressed with the Cape Coral Rotary Park. I attended a workshop on the topic of composting. Super interesting and felt so welcome from the minute I walked in the door ! Will definitely be returning in the future !
It’s a wonderful place for short hikes! If it’s your first visit, be sure to stop in to the Visitors’ Center to get maps of the park and to learn about scheduled activities. The staff is super friendly and helpful. If you’re taking your dogs to the dog park here, make sure they’re licensed!
This is a beautiful park with a large sunshade over the playground. There is a large area to run around, kick a ball etc. There is also a cement area to ride bikes etc. I didn't go on the trails but I see people frequent them.
Great trails, kiddie park, dog park, etc. Butterfly garden, lizards everywhere, fabulous landscaping - all in all a beautiful park in the neighborhood. They host neat events too so check out their social media pages for the scoop.
