My mother became ill while we were visiting the area. She was hospitalized for several days and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. Very caring staff. I will always remember that vacation, although my mother became ill, with some beautiful hospital with a caring community. Loved the area and community
This is NOT a review of Franklin Memorial -- whose staff are incredible, informative, and knowledgeable -- but of my experience with their radiology imaging lab, Franklin Imaging, PLLC. Before treatment, I called Franklin Imaging and asked what the price of the procedure would be. They quoted me at a price, and then months after added an extra $300 charge to that original price. In addition to this deception, they miscalculated the amount my insurance covered, attempting to over-charge me. When I called them and asked to correct this error, they said there was nothing I could do and this was an issue I needed to resolve with my insurance. After sitting on hold for an hour with insurance, they told me everything was correct on their end, and that they would need to call Franklin Imaging. So basically, because of Franklin Imaging's error, I was forced to waste an hour of my day calling my insurance, just for the situation to be resolved by my insurance calling Franklin Imaging. Why couldn't Franklin Imaging simply contact my insurance directly upon being informed of their error? Why did I have to waste my time and energy cleaning up their error? Anyway, if you do anything radiology related, pay close attention to your bill because they will try to overcharge you and do nothing to correct their error afterwards.
This place is absolutely terrible. They have misdiagnosed just about every one of my loved ones. They have caused more hurt than help and I am ashamed to say this is our town hospital. If you are concerned about your health, please go otherwise to get REAL answers and treatment. This place is a joke.
Dr. Jodi Conrad, MD, is by far the best DO I have come across in our area . And if I was strictly reviewing her, I would give my experience 5 stars . The nurse staff will always be lack luster at best and frankly ignorant. But Jodi shows that there is hope for our er yet . She had a great bedside manner even while being busy. She let nothing get in her way from providing care . And that's what it's all about .... compassion. I would suggest if you have to go here request Jodi or go to a different hospital. I for one will see her at the er or no one there from this point on .
Absolutely worst hospital to go to they have no care to patients i sat in a room for two hours and just as i was getting set up for treatment in a room i was told i had to move into the hallway i refused and went to a different hospital and have gotten better care from them I am not allowed to name drop but they are a catholic hospital in lewiston
I really hope that FMH has become a more compassionate and useful hospital. The fact that individuals of the addicted community go there to seek help and are met with nothing but mockery and in my case, physical assault, is beyond ridiculous. The nurses and doctors there lack empathy, and that is the first thing that should define a successful hospital.
Don't go to this Hospital unless you're on death's doorstep. Maybe even then it's a bad idea. This Hospital cut my grandson from my daughter's womb when he was NOT ready to be born, claiming there was a stress, there was none...confirmed by medical charts. After cutting my grandson out of my daughter's womb, they proceeded to mutilate his genitals even though BOTH parents said NO! You're still gonna get sued. You think you can mutilate a little boy and get in no trouble? Thanks Farmington Community Hospital for not standing up for the people of your community. Disgusting.
I spent a few days in the hospital and appreciated the care I received from everyone including the ED, my surgeon and his PA, the nurses and CNAs, dietary and care management. Thanks.
We are extremely fortunate to have a functioning regional hospital in our area. While camping this summer I had to go to Penn Bay, in Rockport. The ER had no Doctors or nurses, or lab, just one poor guy who was supposed try and call someone in, if really needed. I was told to try in the morning for a lab, but it turned out they only had staff for labs 3 days a week. The next day was two days away. Luckily the nice man at the desk disappeared and returned with someone who could help me out. Everyone was very nice, but I'm thankful that our hospital is fully staffed as well as nice.
Appendectomy for my 12 yr old. Very short ER wait, great surgeon, caring staff. Large nice rooms in the pediatric ward so staying over with my kid was easy - I even got a few good hours of sleep.
